You think Hoppers will finish top 2? They finished the finals off pretty poor last season. Agree that Altona will be in the mix.

Wouldn't write Deer Park off, but it could be the beginning of the fall. A good injury run and they will be very close to the mark
Altona has finished the last 2 years top of the ladder and should be there again, talent wise should be favourites
Hoppers, Spotty and Werribee will be there abouts, depends on their VFL player mix and availability
St. Albans as always are anyone's guess, can beat the top teams but lose to average teams
Sunshine should improve, as should Caroline Springs, they have been in division 1 for long enough now to be used to what is required
Point Cook and Yarraville will find Division 1 a massive step up, though in the second year Point Cook will be more competitive against the good teams and should win a few more

Pointing out facts look at the quality of the u18s comp it’s dreadful now if you’re not making the grand final you’re no good
Also see Cavilaro put through a transfer he’d be a bigger loss

Whose heads will fly?
The pres, treasurer (and I think some committee members) and a number of players have left the club. They are now down to 38 player points and even though they had everything thrown at them in the past 12 months still came out on top.
Time to move on, let it go.

38 points.. where did you pull that from?? WRFL reduced them down to 40 points for 2020 season and it was challenged and got a point back.

Fair enough... a few points off.
I maintain the same point though. The people who were perceived to be cheating have left the club, they have a significant disadvantage going into round 1 due to player points (especially with several 1 pointers leaving) so what else should be done?
Time to move on IMO.

I wouldn't think that many people will look back on the 7+ years of dominance and think "Gee, what a powerhouse". There will be some, but by and large, another sentiment will be ever-present.
To claim the allegations of cheating are false, based on the findings of a flawed investigation is laughable.
They got one (or 3) up over the system. Good luck to them. It really is time to leave it be and let cheating dogs lie. Yep, I liked that so much the first time, I'm using it again.

Moving right along, Yarraville Seddon have put in a number of transfers. Looking at the guys coming in, most names don't leap out and beat me around the head with recognition. Before I go trawling through various league websites, anybody got any info on these guys?
Ben Taylor won a league medal in the Ballarat Comp a few years back aswell as 4 club BnFs over the last decade.
33 this year, best is probably well behind him but will still be handy and add abit of experience.

Altona - Big financial trouble,
Deer Park - Having 1 more crack but the Pres has walked away from the position, getting out while he can, doesn't want to be known as the last president of the D Park FC before it disbanded - Yes disbanded , will not be a DPFC in season 2021.
