Surprisingly hoppers 8 goal easy winners over CS , maybe hoppers a genuine contender ! Top 3 for sure !
Excelent game DP and Albans ,DP just getting the chocolates
Spotty first win , after playing the top 4, must be relieved to have an easier run home !
Top 2 close game with districts getting the win , great game
YSE too good for the cooks , showing they are competitive in div 1

Hoppers vs YSE - Hoppers by 40
PC vs St Albans - Saints by 30
Spotty vs CS - Spotty by 20
Werribee vs Deer Park - Deer Park in an upset by 10

You may have the Spotswood vs CS wrong. They mainly have 1 pointers 25/46). What's happened to their "high pointers" ?

Well done AFDogs, 100% correct and only person to pick DP.
Was down at Soldiers reserve and was great game, lead changed many time through the day and even a three or four times in last quarter.

DP played without bench after half time and did not think they would last journey, credit they did.
Werribee good young side, may be missing a few bigger bodies come finals time.

Watched reserves, both teams lacked depth and injuries may cause them problems as season goes on.

Well done DP certainly didn’t think they would that competitive after loosing so many players but they recruited well ! Can’t see how WD reserves lake depth when they sitting up top!

Huge effort with little to no bench.
When the big fella up fwd went down with a hammy after looking like he was going to kick 10 snags you'd be forgiven for thinking they were done.
Rocket and Mills the difference for me. Both had huge second halves. Mills with good numbers and rockets touch in the last was telling.

Lee trying to pass it off with minutes left instead of having a shot from 35/40 out and hitting a teammate in the back didnt help.

Mould given best on for districts and his tagger #16 given third best has some good gamesmanship about it 🤣

I was expecting more out of CS this season but seems like they haven't improved at all. Beat DP round 1 who had a completely new team and were learning to play with one another. Next time they play reckon DP will smash em. People are harsh on Spotty but they had the toughest draw and should win 4-5 in a row now. CS have amazing juniors but aren't producing on field. Still a couple years away from being Div 1 relevant.

Looks like it'll be Spotty and St Albans playing off for that 5th finals spot. Should be a huge game when they play one another.

Anyway having only tipped 1 game incorrectly this year here goes:

CS vs Altona - Altona by 76
Deer Park vs Point Cook - Deer Park by 60
St Albans vs Hoppers - Hoppers by 32
Sushine vs Werribee - Werribee by 90
Yarraville vs Spotswood - Game of the round maybe? Spotty in a close one 10 points

True true , thought CS would be better , got beaten by their competitors in St. Albans and spotty . Been saying it , spotty aren’t too bad , they had a tough draw at the start now they won the last 2 play yse and pc so they will be in the hunt !
And welcome to div 1 YSE with a nice old drubbing against hoppers

CS vs Altona - Altona easy by 40
Deer Park vs Point Cook - Deer Park by 80
St Albans vs Hoppers - Hoppers by 30
Sushine vs Werribee - Werribee by 60
Yarraville vs Spotswood - think spotty will do it easy , by 40

WRFL STATEMENT

Following the State Government announcements, new restrictions from 11.59pm tonight effectively mean no community sport (football or netball) for seven days – this means all scheduled WRFL fixtures will not take place this weekend.

It remains at each club’s discretion as to whether to train this evening – however given the current circumstances clubs are encouraged to consider cancelling formal training this evening.

The league informed all clubs at the beginning of the season, if any match(es) or entire round is cancelled due to COVID-19, the match(es) shall effectively be removed from the fixture and no points will be allocated to either team.

No cancelled home & away match(es) will be rescheduled, and the match ratio will be applied to the ladder for that division and grade for the remainder of the season.

While it is clearly disappointing to be in this position, we remain hopeful this ‘unplanned bye’ will quickly make way for the resumption of the 2021 season next weekend.

Who benefits most from the extended break? And will they allow games if lockdown is removed?

I reckon most would benefit. Altona for example was without Kennedy, Post, Tighe and a few others prior to the lockdown.

I did ready that regional still hasn't kicked off yet, so the long weekend may go in the WRFL's favour from that perspective.
