i've been playing in this comp for 12 yrs and there are many players who respond to crowd from every club i've played against but it would be a much inferior taunt as to one dished out by the supporter

the intention of a supporter in these circumstances is to get a response from the player, so i'm guessing the supporter is not fussed about what the player has said to them

so when players respond to the crowd or spray them regardless of age, gender, sexual preferences etc i would not call them a coward, undisciplined yes coward no


this forum has almost become a place for people to just insult others there is very little genuine footy talk anymore that is why most of the good posters rarely post anymore, wrflverysoft this issue has been done and dusted to bring it up again just shows you are a goose

After I broke my hand, I wanted to have the St Albans final off if he could guarantee me I was going to play 1's the next week if we got through to the GF. He told me I was a 95% chance of playing the next week (in the GF) unless somebody came in and kicked 6 goals against St Albans (which didnt happen). I think he said that so Id take the week off, knowing it would be hard for him to drop somebody for a GF and I wouldnt get a game. Sensing this, I wanted to play against St Albans and they chose not to play me and the hand was the excuse although I had trained both nights.

I trained both nights the next week and anybody who saw me train will tell you that it didnt effect me. I was asked after Thurs training by the 2's coach whether Id play 2's if I wasnt picked in the 1's. I said yes as I had a point to prove. He seemed more than happy to have me. They called me in and the senior coach told me they couldnt find me a spot, not bcos of my hand. The 2's coach then said you havent been picked in the 2's either and the reason was bcos they were going for youth and development. (Why did he ask me 30 mins earlier if I was happy to play 2's then?). There were guys playing that were older than me anyway. When the 2's coach told me, he was petrified. I actually felt sorry for him. I find it hard to believe it was his decision.. Even if it was, the senior coach has the last say and if he wanted me in there, I would have been playing 2's. Apparently I wasnt even spoken about in any discussion to play 1's.

At the end of the day, he got the result the club wanted and I was wrapped for them. They are a great club and I have made many good friends there but this is 1 thing that will probably always eat away at me.

If you actually read what I wrote Ray, you will find that I said that the reason I wrote what I wrote was to explain to everybody what exactly what was said and done bcos Im sick of people saying that I wasnt picked bcos of my hand bcos it wasnt the case. I havent given my opinions or thoughts on this believe me, I have just given the facts as to what went on. Maybe Ive gone into too much detail but so be it. Everybody can make their own mind up now.

As for disrespecting you and your team mates, how have I done that? If people have taken offence to me saying what happened then so be it. I never once mentioned another player or the club in any way. I actually said the club was a great club. So b4 you get on the high moral ground and feel the need to respond to what I wrote, just remember that it was Crackers and myself that stood up for the club and the players on here over the last 2.5 years. The only time you got on here was to have a go at somebody who had a swipe at you and now you feel you need to do this. A little hypocritical especially knowing your thoughts on the matter anyway.

I will say it again, nothing regarding this has ANYTHING to do with the club or any other people apart from the coaching staff at Spotty. You are right, I have no respect for those people as a football coaching staff and the way they went about it all. There is only 1 of them I have personal issues with though, not all of them.

How are other teams shaping up for season 2009.

Any news on Port Colts and Spotswoods IN's or OUT's.

I heard at Albion they are travelling nicely. Just signed a really good rover from the Essendon FL this week along with James Philpott, Harro, Cam Munro, Bloomfield and a few others. They will be very good with the Old Warrior at the helm.

St Albans also are close with some good Williamstown players I hear and an pretty handy hard at it midfielder.

There's no room for maybe this or that when it comes to Grand Final selection. Honesty is the best policy. If his form didn't warrant selection, he would have been told.
The faithful from any club can have trouble being objective. Save opinions for after you've seen a few games rather than rely on the faithful. Ever been a bit confused after you've seen the votes in a club BnF?
