Kelm is a serial thug who has never received the appropriate punishment. On several occasional he had has king hit players from behind. If this behaviour had happened in Wilson St then he may have received a prison sentence for some of the things he has done.



When I was a young girl this type of behaviour was tolerated but thank goodness it has mostly been weeded out of the game. Punching young men to the head while they are not looking has nothing to do with ‘playing it hard’, it’s cowardly, it’s a criminal offence and she be treated as such.

I absolutely agree. MM is a great club but this is about people saying that Saints pay their juniors which is definitely not the case. Just trying to clear up misinformation that seems to be rife on this site. It's a kick in the guts when Horsham sides try to poach the juniors of clubs of smaller towns. (saints approached 2 MM juniors after 2011 season too)

Not sure why you have brought his wife and kid into it...plenty of criminals have them. But whilst you brought it up it may be appropriate to mention that he did use his wife and kid as a reason when pleading with Beer not to press off field charges as it would highly likely have put him in jail after a previous assault with a neighbour.
He got a piss weak 6 weaks and 4 suspended for grevious bodily harm hits Hanns from stawell with the 4 weeks hanging over his head not long after and gets off on a bullsh*t techcality. SO it is completely fair and fact to say he is a thug and never learnt his lesson. Good player but shouldnt be allowed to play our great game for the good of all other s who enjoy afl minus a punch in the head when they least expect it. He should easily have racked up 16 weeks suspension.

No surprise the saints want him back, a couple of years ago they had 4-5 suspensions in the one year totalling approx. 25 weeks. Justin Combe, Kelm, Butsch,Cooke harrison(u17 at time) and one other bloke in the 2's. The tribuneral handed out two 10 major week suspensions . Broadbent was in charge at the time and now hes back again so its not like their club culture is going to change much or any time soon. Saints have Lost plenty of grandfinal never won one and will stop at nothing in attempting to get one.

Yes, the Saints have a pretty tragic history with 7 grand final losses without a win so it would seem the Steam Train is still an outdated form of transport.

One of the great differences between a club like the Horsham Demons (admittedly with all our faults) and a club like the Horsham Saints is the intergenerational loyalty that still binds the Demons. If you look at the teams over the last 10 years you see that a lot of their surnames match up with the other team photos from days gone by. That is very different to the Horsham Saints where over the last 30 years families have left them in droves. You only have to look up at the photos around the walls at the Saints to see what they have lost. If you had of told me in the early 1980's that there would be Magees playing with Dimboola against the Saints I would have laughed at you.

The Saints attempt to buy young players from other clubs will no doubt improve their team performance but where will it leave them in the long term? When you talk to many old players weather they are still involved with the club or not you get the sense they are utterly sick of the current administration. The clubs infrastructure is appalling and is by far the worst in the League to watch Football at. The club continues to blame the Church, the School, local government, state government and most disgraceful of all, the bowling club. It is well past time that the Horsham Saints got off their rear ends and did something about their ground, it is simply not up to Wimmera league standard.

This is the last time I will mention the word Kelm as it appears any discussion upsets too much. I will say though that I do not believe he should still be allowed to play football and I stand by that.
