never knew what the premise of the good doctor was, was the first season worth watching?
Short answer, yes. First few shows were really promising. An autistic savant get a job as a surgeon. The first 10 episodes are definitely worth a look. Whether you continue will depend on how much you like medical dramas. For now, I will see out season 1 - now up to ep 16.

Mind you, I get bored really easily. There are only a few shows I look forward to each new season. The rest are relegated to the 'watch later' basket. Flash and Arrow are now in this basket. As is S2 of Jessica Jones. Scorpion is teetering on the edge, as is Lucifer.

You might notice all of these have 'something different'. Some quirk to make them a little abnormal.

The Blacklist still enthuses and eagerly await the return of Star Tek Discovery.

I really miss Stargate.

S2 of JJ, S2 of Stranger Things are both on my to get to list.
Lucifer I'm still enjoying as it comes out, never watched Scorpion, wife lost interest in blacklist in season two i think, there are a ton of shows I want to watch but don't have time, mostly I watch what the wife and I can both handle, she does here reality fix when I'm not home and I always have to toss up between catching up on/starting new shows or gaming when I do manage to get alone screen time

My TV is total reality shows. I retire to the study and watch on pc.
Lethal Weapon and MacGyver provide mildly entertaining diversions (although I did call MacGyver rubbish in the early days).
And Lucifer really needs to get his 'devil' back.

it's hard with Lucifer, he's had some growth as a character, do they just throw it all out and pretend it never happened?

been some glimpses recently of the kind of things that set him off but then he just rolled up and did something very non devil end of the last episode I watched, which made sense but does make it hard for them if they want to have the fun they did in season one with him

Highly recommend Seven Seconds on Netflix - best thing I've seen since The Night Of
Also Mr Mercedes - Stephen King - bit harder to find, pretty full on, quite the thrill ride
The End of the F****** World on Netflix - pretty good
Money Heist on Netflix is worth a look too.

Has anybody watched "The Last Ship"?
First season is good but the next two seasons really crank up!
Closest I can come to "as a theme" is The Walking Dead without the zombies!

First two eps of 'The Terror' were pretty good, looking forward to the rest.
Agree, not a bad show. The thing is with these types of shows, though, being based on one of those historical mysteries, they cannot solve the mystery, so anything they do can only be based on supposition.

Anyone have grandkids, or kids watching Peppa Pig? My almost three year old granddaughter is fascinated by Peppa, and it is helping with her English too; unlike some of those horrible American You Tube videos.
Yeah my kid loved it at that age

The mistreatment, bullying and sexism aimed at Daddy Pig is shocking.

#HimToo

Must say I haven't noticed that. The fat tummy comes in for some mentions, but, even before she ever saw Peppa, who if you said who's gat a fat tummy, she would say granddad, but, wuuld follow this by rubbing hers and saying Rainbow.
