Speaking of the great man, this was another of his gems post Monkees.


I love that song. The horns with a touch of 60s psychedelia make it memorable.

The Monkees were a phenomenon. I remember the songs and the TV show. It was funny playing with everyone in the street, bigger families in those days, and someone would shout that the show was starting and immediately the street would be deserted.

I went and saw the Mike and Mickey show at the Palais about 5 years ago. I listened to all the old songs that I was familiar with and then Mike took centre stage with this one and it floored me. The harmonising between the two gave it a sweetness. Even at their age they still had it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did on the night.
