This LP still holds up really well.

I like how slick (relatively speaking) the projection is and how indulgent some of the soloing is. On some LP's he gets the riffs spot on, but his songwriting isn't quite up to scratch, or the whole LP will be centred on long expansive sections that don't have much of a base. I think this one he combines all the elements nicely.

There's some of his best moments of all time in parts of this LP. The surfy solo kicking in just before the last chorus is awesome.

Best song on the new album, now this sounds like mid-late 90s Pearl Jam!


Loving that album, as a PJ fan ive sort of forced myself to 'like' their last couple of albums. But this one is full of great songs - we'll see how they age but loving it atm.

Ive been waiting for an acoustic song that is up there with 'off he goes', this is doing it for me at the moment (i hated any EV solo songs on previous albums). Their social media work has been top notch as well

 
I had this given to me last month and I've finally got around to listening to it. It's OK, just not my cup of tea. However, if you are a Neil Young fan you might like this.
