I'd think 3 real GF appearances would need to happen over the course of 3 separate seasons, not claiming a replay as another GF ...

Lol you have a couple of times, The only downside to the tigers is not taking roughhead or franklin, bad decision making in the past.
If you are referring to tanking, I don't think so brother...we were just genuinely crap for that particular year...

Where do you realistically see the Tigers finishing next year? I know the players absolutely love Dimma. But turning an entire list over takes time. There is no doubt that Melb and the Kangas are far bit ahead of you in development. Surely be another 2-3 years before finals?
The question also still remains whether the tiger fans will be patient enough to endure another proper rebuild, or force Dimma to take shortcuts. I'd be alarmed by any supporter who thinks the tiges are a legitimate hope for top 8 next year. No such thing as a quick fix and you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
I also hope the board shows some confidence in the coach and gives him a 2 year extension BEFORE the start of the season to avoid a possible media circus if the tiges get off to a less than ideal start.
I honestly hope that one day the tiges can rise out of that great big hole TW put you in. Tiges supporters are the most deluded, but they're also the loyalest and arguably most passionate supporters in the competition. When your success comes, you'll have earned it.
