"In July 1924, the Public Service Football Club, comprised solely of state and federal public servants, sought to join the VFL. They were offered the lease to a newly developed venue "Amateur Sports Ground" by Melbourne Carnivals Ltd to play their games at. The VFL, eager to expand with multiple offers said yes and PSFC had their spot amongst the other 9 clubs in season 1925. They went with the classic Aussie green and gold colour scheme to represent the people of Australia given their team is not representative of 1 sole area. The moniker 'Stars' was chosen referencing the vast areas the players come from just like the night sky with their scattered stars"
