Having my surgery date changed for the 5th time. (This time most likely cos my surgeon wants extended Easter holidays although Im certain he is Jewish)

I was placed in a 90 day queue in late September last year and told it will be done before xmas. Then placed on the emergency waiting list in October when my hernia became strangulated. (Basically my large intestine his pushing its way out my belly button and its the size of a tennis ball) I get relief laying flat on my back as it totally disappears. I do infact have 2 hernias, was 5 but they merged together to form a football. The one the size of a football does not worry me. Hernias are very common after stomach surgery as muscles have been weakened. Was assured my surgeon would do it on 28th Feb which was changed to 28th March when an emergency cancer patient needed to be operated on. Got a call Saturday morning telling me my date needs to be changed again. I had a total meltdown and requested another surgeon or a vet would suffice. A call today said she is looking for another surgeon but most likely 6th April.

Private health cover? Please tell me no.

I ****en hate private health care. Makes me violently sick.

I’ll happily pay the levy surcharge for life over signing up for private health.

Nah. I gave up on private health cover 9 years ago when my friend had a stroke. He was 32 never had health insurance was in a ward with 8 other people. At the same time his cousin had a stroke who had cover with his own private room. They both ended up at the same rehab centre in Kew and both recovered remarkably well. The only difference being, my friend who had no cover paided nothing, whilst his cousin had a $30,000 bill because he wasnt totally covered (he thought he was)

Bugger

AFL journalists and commentators misusing the word 'mercurial' in an attempt to sound like they've ever read a book.

The meaning of the word is derived from the Greek trickster/messenger god Mercury, and means 'subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind'.

Tom Mitchell was today described as 'mercurial' on the AFL website for kicking a goal in the final quarter of the game. However, as a midfielder who reliably finds the football and kicks goals, he is essentially the exact opposite of a 'mercurial' player.

That really grinds my gears for some reason.

Genuine pace.
WTF is genuine pace?
Either he has pace, or he doesn't. Who the bloody hell has fake pace?

EITHER THEY HAVE PACE, OR THEY DON'T!!!!! PACE CANNOT BE FAKED!!!!!!

These campaigners really grind my gears.
