Everytime theirs a scandal the media sink the boot in no matter the team you guys seem to have more public ones.
Those fake articles about hogan last season and this season.
Early 2000s though everyone knew the eagles were on drugs but it wasn't being reported.

I wouldn't worry mate. If he's saying Adrian Barich is a Freo fan, it's clearly just trolling.

Basil works for 7west media. It's in their interest to train up the players and build relationships especially if the club asks. IIRC from Dylan Buckleys podcast he said he doesn't support either, hes a West Perth guy still but has family memberships to the Dockers

I know we have a great win/loss record, but I want Hawthorn to get the hell out of Tasmania.

The AFL were right to ban Western Australian umpires from umpiring Eagles home games that time.Sure it was wierd and funny when it happened and an insult to normal rational people everywhere.But for all we know there could have been a wider conspiracy going on that Gil nipped in the bud just in time.The Eagles could have been planning to supply the umpires with drugs turning them into addicts and making them dependant on a favourable West Coast Eagles free kick count.

I think the AFL are soft *****, if they were dinkum, they would ban Australian umpires from games involving any Australian teams, that's the only way to make sure there are no compromised loyalties.

I don't think there's a conspiracy. The WA media just target their biggest audience (West Coast). It would be silly of them to put off-side their largest market and in doing so put at risk newspaper sales and clicks on articles.

But to think the media are in some way Freo 'fans' is just so wrong it's hard to know where to start.

I get the point you are trying to make, but back then 'Aussie rules' was an entirely new game.

AFLW has had the benefit of over 100 years of game evolution and specifically close to 2 decades of women's football programs at grassroots level to produce players of a decent skill level. Yet this 'elite' competition consists of 12 teams made up of about 80% women who can't kick and are simply athletic enough at other sports to at least understand how to play Aussie rules, but not excel at it (see Sharni Layton and Jenna McCormick).

The fact is that AFLW was thrown together with little preparation and has been rammed down everyone's throats, piggybacking off the success of, and financially propped up by, the Men's game. The rapid expansion is ridiculous and is only going to further dilute the already thin talent pool.

It's great that the AFLW is continuing to grow the game and provide pathways to young girls to play at the top level, but I really wish there wasn't so much media coverage of it until it actually becomes a decent standard to watch.

To be clear, I don't think there is an agenda against Fremantle from the media. Do the give us a rough time at points? Yes, they do. But every team gets flack from the media whether their fans want to admit it or not. What I'm addressing is that nearly every post that's made by said user is an opportunity to take cheap shots and low blows at Fremantle rather than you know, talking about his own team. It's all he posts. Do we have some idiot fans on our board? 100%. And it's annoying as hell hearing the same stuff over and over. Maybe not all of those media guys give us a hard time, but there's no denying the hate boner of Hardie and Hagdorn and the rest of 6PR against us.

Cam McCarthy is a good player, but is forced to play out of position due to continuous injuries to key forwards as well as lack of key forwards over the past 3 years.

Not unpopular amongst Fremantle fans but most non-fans look at him and go "Hurr hurr pr0n state pedo, lazy and fat amirite hurt durr"
