It came across as arrogant to many people. That is the point. Are you too arrogant and self absorbed to see that this is not about YOUR peception of it?. Eds role as the media mouthpiece of our club means he is expected to be considered in how he responds to media questions and be conscious of the nuances and connotations he creates. He is absolutely hopeless at this and it causes problems pretty much every year.

You are the one telling people their perception is wrong..
Don't you realise by now that 1. You can't do that because people's perceptions are theirs.. right or wrong 2, the topic of discussion was the perception that Eds words created. People are telling you they perceived it as arrogant and you are arrogantly telling them their perceptions are wrong. You've defended Eds arrogance with arrogance.

If people are perceiving Eds words as arrogant... Then they are..it is an issue of perception were dealing with here not one of scientific fact . Because you didn't personally perceive them that way is a complete fooking self absorbed irrelevance and doesn't entitle you to say those who took exception are "wrong".

Real point is: Ed needs to be better than that when being the mouth piece of our club. It is not that hard to frame responses in a manner which people do not take exception to... Especially when doing so is a key part of your role. Ed is serially bad at this.

Your statement actually highlights a key problem 'Eds role as the media mouthpiece of our club', No president plays this role at any other club, the CEO, media relations etc handle the media. He has his finger in too many pies and he is the key problem at the club as a result, its all about him and that needs to change.

While he's there it's just something we have to live with. And I will continue to criticize him for it. He does a lot of his damage in off the cuff remarks through his numerous media manifestations. Even if the board put a gag order on him and appointed a skilled media person to speak on behalf of the club he will still do this. He can't help himself there.

Actually you did.. You said I was "arrogant" and "fooking self absorbed" because I said that I thought Ed was "not arrogant at all".

Koch does not go on radio every day and carry on. He is on a national TV boradcast and hardly brings it up. Does mouth off from time to time but all presidents do. Eddie is on his soap box every day. If he is not crapping on about the Pies, he is coming up with brain farts like 'the winner of the pre season comp gets a finals berth'.
