This is true, Peter Beattie did this and he never lost an election. And the most infuriating thing is politicians just don't understand the huge amount of respect they'd earn if they'd just offer a heartfelt apology when shown to be wrong.
The Howard years were pretty good economic times, granted. But it was the era of property prices decoupling from wages, funding private schools and health at the expense of public, and blowing our mineral wealth that should have been banked.Unsurprisingly, Dutton wants to talk about Howard costello years not the Abbott Turnbull morrison years when he was a major part of that govt.
Especially as Abbott is now openly stating his govt was a fail
Election 2025: Albanese and Dutton steeling for ‘future war’ — The Australian
The PM has declared the next election a ‘future war’ between Labor and the Coalition, as the Opposition Leader vows a return to Howard and Costello-era economics while calling for a rejection of identity politics in classrooms.apple.news
Pity Howard's first name wasn't Bill, because he was truly the bill Australia couldn't afford. The Howard years were pretty good economic times, granted. But it was the era of property prices decoupling from wages, funding private schools and health at the expense of public, and blowing our mineral wealth that should have been banked.
Political leaders rarely 'apologise'.....they 'regret'.And the most infuriating thing is politicians just don't understand the huge amount of respect they'd earn if they'd just offer a heartfelt apology when shown to be wrong.
Yeah, eff 'em.Political leaders rarely 'apologise'.....they 'regret'.
I wonder how much we'll hear from Dutton about the evils of social media now given the pivot in the US?
We are going to take over New Zealand
The answer is revving them up.Can’t work out if conservatives spend more time renouncing culture wars or actually revving them up
Doing the usual Australia Day finger pointing before Christmas even arrived this year was a new low
See tabcorp has the Libs at $1.75 warm favourites to win the election. The bookies have been spot on the last few state, federal and even the u.s elections.
Doubt it. It’s a clear tactic.Very few of these problems started on Albos watch, yet Dutton seeks to call them labor problems.
So will we see any detail beyond motherhood statements?
Maybe so but how can we go back to the Libs. They were the most corrupt government in history with Robodebt, Sports Rorts Carpark Rorts etc and left us in a financial messRightly so too
Albo has been the least inspiring PM in decades!
That’s not what Murdoch media is telling me. Am I doing this right?Maybe so but how can we go back to the Libs. They were the most corrupt government in history with Robodebt, Sports Rorts Carpark Rorts etc and left us in a financial mess
Well, well, well, what do we have here?
No - the Liberals have applied the original Twitter character limit when releasing their own “details”Very few of these problems started on Albos watch, yet Dutton seeks to call them labor problems.
So will we see any detail beyond motherhood statements?
11 of the 12 past interest rate hikes under Albo and continued high government spending has ensured inflation remained sufficiently high for the RBA not to reduce interest rates.Very few of these problems started on Albos watch, yet Dutton seeks to call them labor problems.
So will we see any detail beyond motherhood statements?
