What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

To believe that Dutton will match this is to also believe he's that had some sort of Damascene conversion to the benefits of Medicare.
And has crunched the numbers on how it would be funded. How much savings from 36k public servants (minus funding for consultants to replace them)?

I’m guessing some of the consultants were hired into the public sector when the ALP were elected… Dutton will sack them, they’ll get a large payout and get a job as a consultant and wait for Labor to get re-elected and then get a job in the public sector again.
Then rinse and repeat.

You probably are guessing. It’s been a policy to reduce consultants and re tool the PS. It’s smart and well overdue

When you take a package it’s usually 2-3 years before reemployment allowed.

Unless a razor gang has stuffed up and special cases to maintain function are in play

All that needs to be said about politicians

''Amelia comes from a family of long political involvement ''

And? Does this make her the better candidate? Or you know policies will out

''Experiences here and overseas '' = Daddy paid for a gap year of travel

''She has great personal values '' = " Liberal ones of course

'' She is very much part of our future '' = Looking after her Libby mates

''Hopefully she is elected on merit '' = and nobody looks too closely at her or her partys Policies

And quite apart from the sexism, whether Ryan’s teal or green or any other colour, the fact is her position on climate change means she’s truer to conservative values than you are Jeff.

YOU and your nasty crop of current Lib mates are the radical ratbags.

I mean, I am totally against any form of bigotry.

I believe the Holocaust was the greatest crime against humanity that the world has ever seen.

But to relentlessly suggest that anti-semitism is among the biggest problems that we face in Australia right now just makes me very suspicious I'm being gaslighted by Dutton.
It’s not even close to how Africans have been treated throughout history and continues to be.

I have a theory:

Dutton knows he's going to lose his seat - and that half his cabinet hate him. As a final fu to the LNP he's decided to come up with the most ridiculous thought bubbles imaginable - because sorting out a policy platform is just too much hard work for a man who won't be around in the next parliament anyways.

Good to see that the strategy of spewing enough hate at the other team to hope voters will turn away from them and towards you is still failing.

People are realising that if they don't like the Government, they don't just have to vote for the opposition automatically.

The only measure of success I care about at this election is hoping that the number of non-duopoly politicians increases.

In the conservative mind, there is nothing more valuable to the future than the blue-blood-lines of the past. I love that he throws in merit at the end, as if to say "Oh, I haven't mentioned any actual qualities, I'll just say it's based on merit".

It's what Conservatives think merit is.

I think Dutton said he’d match.

Strategy seems to be only match every labor cost of living policy, but go hard on sniping and culture wars.

It’s a million miles away from the slogan ‘let’s get back on track’

It’s really code for ‘if we get elected, we’ll roll out our real agenda wink wink’
To be fair, it's what Labor did in 2022... matched everything the Coalition promised and sniped Morrison. And it worked.

That said, Albo is at least more believable than Spud.
