Here's three..... I can't remember the name of the third guy but the description should suffice...

#1 - Alexandra Stevenson - was meant to be the US' next big tennis sensation for women. Beat Jelena Dokic before succumbing to Lindsay Davenport in the semi-final of her Wimbledon debut. Daughter of Samantha Stevenson (famous sports writer) and Dr. J, Julius Erving.

#2 - Juan Carlos Ferrero - Did he play in the AO?

#3 - The unknown name - There was another American that came through the juniors at about the same time as Andy Roddick. Was almost as good as Andy at one stage and looked to have a promising career. Nothing ever came of him. Now I can't even remember his name.

Saw Casey during a ball boy segment on today's coverage, her world ranking is in the 200's (212 i think from memory).

Was it Justin Gimelstob?

He had an issue trying to pick Andy Roddick's serve when he was facing up against Roddick in the US Open once. good laugh

Its probably not him

Albert Costa is a coach and David Cup captain for Spain. He is at the Open this year in Ferrer's box. I've managed to bump into him over the past 3 or 4 years at the Open, usually on outside courts where he likes to keep an eye on the Spanish players during doubles matches. (He's a really nice guy too!)

It goes to show to you how fickle The Business of playing tennis is

Also theres no line of guarantee for a player to still be a prominent potential grand slam winner over a prolonged period of time as opposed to someone who bursts onto the scene and is never heard of again

Case in point, the French Open that had Dutch serve volleyer (forgot his name) about 5 years ago make the semis...

Never heard of again

Also you would have thought a player like David Nalbandian should have won at least 1 grand slam title in his career. He has been a consistent competitor over the long stretch

Yeah its definately a funny game one major injury and it could be impossible to get back. I thought Johansson was going to be a big thing. I wont forget the game where he served 50 aces and agassi still beat him in 4 sets.
