His BE was -14. Crazy to get on now. The time was last week or at the latest before lockout tonight imo.
How is that crazy? He'll only be around 545-550k after tonight

If he averages above 90 from now til the end of the year then that's a decent pick up still. Surely he outscores Gray if he continues to spend time in the middle.

Buddy is 585k but has the heel issue that could flare up any old week, Langdon at 597k who I like but is a gamble as he's having a breakout year and we don't know if he can keep it up, Walters is 570k but made of glass

Not many better options around his pricepoint, not interested in spending 660k for Menegola

Just my opinion but I think you're over paying. That's why I think it's crazy. Do not see him averaging 90. He wont get enough mid time. Port's midfield depth is good and he is very good around goal. Very good depth to float between mid and fwd as cover, especially for those who already jumped on. I don't think he's worthy of being a starting premo fwd in a finished side.

Im not talking about him averaging 90 for the season, its from now til the end of the season im talking about

Going far better than Hogan and Gray at the moment who I want to bench the weaker one of eventually as they are potential liabilities

Yeah I knew exactly what you meant. I still think you're crazy. But go for it, it might work.

There's a chance that Fritsch could drop more cash than Heppell would drop, meaning that this week would make more sense. Solid move.
They're basically the same price too, Heppell completes my mids.

Who would you get out of Ed Langdon or Buddy if I forego Chad? Upgrading Spargo to one of them (can only afford a 607k forward)

Langdon has been dynamite at home this year, tonning up 5 times there and would be a massive POD. Buddy has been fairly solid except for 2 scores in the 50s, but is that heel of his good to go for the rest of the year? Leaning towards Langdon at the moment for POD factor.

When Macrae comes back 1 of Hogan or Gray are benched at F7, but having a DPP link in the mids allows a Heeney/Westhoff/McLean to sit in the mids to cover a midfield out, like covering Macrae so far.

Hoping Phillips comes back this week and goes above 400k quickly, might be able to nab a Luke McDonald or Seedsman as M9/D7 coverage that way late in the season if I'm lucky with injuries. Adam Kennedy is one I'm interested in too if he comes back soon in that regard, been smashing NEAFL since coming back from an ACL, could be a Josh Thomas/Clay Smith late season coverage cheapie at 312k.

I'm leaning towards Buddy myself. One of those 50s that he scored was in the pissing down rain in Brisbane. The other 50 he scored was the game against the Crows where Talia kept him quiet, which also happened to be the last game he played before missing the 3 weeks with injury, so was probably hampered by that injury in that game. Langdon would be a massive POD and you're right does have some great scores at home. 4 scores in the 60s though, and maybe a question mark on how Freo will go at the back end of the season. They haven't exactly got an easy run home. Some tough games, but most of the tougher ones are at home. Langdon certainly could be worth the dice roll as a massive POD, but I'm still leaning towards Buddy, even with the injury question mark hanging over his head. Just a bit more certainty on what you are getting.

Buddy is 12k cheaper too

Extra cash might be useful helping with injury trades

Every chance he spuds up this week on Rance though. I remember his game on him last year, gave away a heap of BS frees that only protected species would get and didn't kick straight, could've easily been a 90 odd, but only got 60 I think.
