Another of the 0.5ers here - as if that is in anyway important ... there
really are some primitive types on BF.

Had two Tiger-supporting brothers and one Blue, so ended up creating some family balance. Earliest memory is of the '69 finals: not liking the taste of grand final defeat, I defected (for about an hour) to the Tigers on grand final night.
I was rewarded for staying true Blue a year later, of course. We went for a family outing on grand final day in 1970 and we were heading home as Carlton surged to the lead. I ran inside the house and flicked on the radio as Jezza's kick bounced through to seal the match. I went to my first game in '71, my first final in '72, and by 1973 I was a member and going every week.
I've been fortunate enough to follow the Blues in a wonderful era - and compared to the long-suffering fans of some of the other clubs I feel like I haven't got much right to bitch now that it's all gone a bit pear-shaped for the Blues.

I have read a few of these and alot have said this is stupid please dont laugh now i am being for-real PLEASE DONT LAUGH this is a real silly story of how i became a carlton supporter but it doesnt matter because i love em !

Well firstly from whenever i could remember to the age of about 4-5 i was a geelong supporter only because i used to spend alot of time with my cousin who brainwashed me to be a geelong supporter. My mum had always been a carlton supporter and my dad Richmond and one day my mum went to take me to get a geelong guersey but they didnt have any geelong ones and as a young child would began to cry and said i wanted one and she said well why dont u go for carlton so i did :) havnt looked back since , my cousin still trys to get me to go for geelong but one thing he doesnt relise is im not 3 years old anymore
