Does it really matter. You're just going to be entering your team in identically to your one in fanfooty planner. It's the same thing... if you going to look forward to a start date of dreamteam...then look forward to the first match of the season. I dont understand why people cannot wait for it to open.

For me, to organise leagues and get the sledging and side bets to begin. It's the game within a game.

For me its Dream team all the way. I only do supercoach for something to do before DT opens. Somehow i managed to get my name in the paper for a week last year, but i really couldnt care less about SC.

Give me a basic game with stats i can calculate in my head any day

I don't know why everyone is in such a hurry, DT has never started before the end of the pre season competition. If you can't select a side in the 2 weeks prior to the start of the season then you probably shouldn't bother entering the competition in the first place.

I suggest that people use Fanfooty's team planner feature to get a squad selected so that when DT does open, which should be the 10th of March at the earliest for those who are hanging out, you can then save yourself sometime.

I have both the AFL Season 2008 record + the AFL Prospectus and all the player positions look spot on. Which players arnt in there correct positions ?

If you ring or email them they won't give you a straight answer, as they don't want everyone logging on as soon as it opens and crashing it.

However, i've done some research on when it has opened previously...

Everything seems to point to... (although i may be wrong so don't be angry...)

Correct me if im wrong but doesnt it always open a couple of days after the NAB cup final has been played?

Be pointless making a team before then cos injuries will still happen in all the practice matches

Last year it was out the Monday after the NAB cup.

Next Monday (the 10th) it'll be open.

I'm sure it'll be open on the 15th as well, and the 22nd, and it'll definately be open on the 30th March.

Just remember the later it opens, there'll be less shit that inevitably clogs up this forum.

Frankly I'd be happy for it to open the Wednesday before Easter.
