yeah for us maybe, we have been planning for ages where others wont even consider it until it opens
but think about it from their perspective
they would want it open for as long as possible to get as many entrants as possible, because if someone joins prior to rd1 and their mate finds out too late then he will be less inclined to join
i spose thats how they would see it
plus i just want it to open already!

I think this is a very important point. Only the people who are really into DT will sign up, no fuss. The casual DT'er may not realise what's going on, may miss round 1 lockout (as it's on thursday), or may just opt for one of the other DT sites.

What really puzzles me is that all the starting player prices are determined from the previous seasons and the new players prices are determined based on draft #/draft type - the rookie/pre-season draft was held on dec 11.

Sure it takes time to update player positions and prices but not this long. I'd like to know the logic behind holding off for so long.

i'm optimistic but it WILL open on the 10th last year it opened 2 days after nab cup and i think it will be the same this year.


The only difference to last year is SC opened about 2 weeks earlier.

If you ring or email them they won't give you a straight answer, as they don't want everyone logging on as soon as it opens and crashing it.

However, i've done some research on when it has opened previously...

Everything seems to point to... (although i may be wrong so don't be angry...)

thats what ive been saying all along. And to my knowledge each year it has opened the following monday after the NAB cup final.

It makes the most sense as they can change the website advertising from NAB to Coca Cola without either company packing the shits

If the NRL Dreamteam opening is anything to go by then I think it may well open by Wednesday next week. Got my email from VirtualSports last night telling me that it had opened and the NRL season kicks off next weekend.

Just had a bit of a look back at when it opened last year. The season started a week later than it is this year and DT opened 11 days before the season. Given that the season starts on the 20th this year I would expect it to open up about 2pm tomorrow. Just in time for the kids getting home from school.
