1) Who do you think is most likely to perform on the big stage?
2) Who could most likely put in a costly effort?

1) Ziebell, Boomer, Thompson, Cunnington step forward.

2) anybody who didn't step forward.

1) Ziebell
2) I don't want any of our players to perform like, or be in any way compared to Ballantyne. Odious.

1) Ziebell and Cunnington have the hard bodies and footy nous to play well in finals.
2) Every player is liable to have a shocker, you just hope it's not on the wrong day. Most of our current players either haven't earned an opportunity to play finals, and those that have failed miserably. That's a long answer for "I don't know."

we will play better football than the crap dished up yesterday......

Hmmm...I'd like to think so but on recent North Melbourne finals performances, I'm not so certain. I guess the difference is that Freo got enough of it but were so jittery with it early. In our recent finals, we didn't get into the game enough to even show how nervous we were.

I agree but future finals performances have nothing to do with the past....better side for the experience

I was flicking through the 2012 GF last week, and noticed how Parker threw himself at a high ball running with the flight and immediately thought of Jack.

Seriously, Jack will either kill an opponent or himself with his attack on the ball in a Grand Final.

MacMillan.

**** yeah.

To mow down a rampaging Dangerfield with a game saving tackle. :thumbsu:

Cunners, Jack and Spitter showed they're well and truly up for the finals fight in Perth last year. Unfortunately they had very few mates of a similar mettle at the time. Hopefully this season has taught the players plenty about what it takes to reach the pinnacle.

I don't want think about how many weeks Jack will miss at the start of 2015, just for contesting the ball.:D you'd be looking at about 12 I reckon.

Disregarding our fringe players from 15-22 i'd say the following;

1. Thompson, Zeibell, Swallow
2. Harvey, Petrie, Thomas

I literally just had to make an account so that i could reply to this nonsense...
You reckon our most experienced player who is literally hanging on for dear life to play in another grand final, is gonna choke on Grand final day.
That is a ridiculous lack of faith in such a superstar of the club...

Shouldn't we just re-title this thread "Players you like and players you don't like"

I reckon we have some serial underperformers in big games.

I for one have Wells as my favourite player, but I couldn't confidently put him in category 1. In fact I think the best thing about this Nth group going forward is the next gen who will hopefully stand up and deliver when our current leaders generally don't/can't/haven't.
