A process is the right way to do it though I wouldn’t bother for Clarkson or Lyon. That’s just me. There are 80,000 of us.

Six weeks takes it to after the GF - good time for any hires contracted until current club's season ends.

Not sure that any article can change what’s gone down over the last 2-3 months, and the throwing bags of cash at Cook and Clarkson after screwing up the Lyon approach, while simultaneously claiming to be setting up a thorough process with a panel that included staff that the President couldn’t say were safe in their own roles.

If anything it just confirms Carlton are a mess, and they’re looking for the quick fix.

One minute Carlton are getting Clarkson, then they're not, then they're setting up a through process, then they're getting Cook that will act as some super-dooper carrot that Clarkson won't be able to turn his back on.

Hard to disagree, definitely looks like more of the same from the outside.

Not surprised people aren't banging the door down to coach us. If I was a career coach I wouldn't touch us with a cattle prod, we've ruined better coaches than Clarko and Lyon lol. Maybe 'similar' rather than 'better'.

As far as quick fixes go, getting Clarko would be a pretty good one.

This apparent approach to Fagan took place "not so long ago" which makes me think it was last week.

Liddle gets sacked on Friday and the story breaks yesterday, don't think that is a mere coincidence !!

Think its clear they wanted an experienced, big name - problem turned out to be none of those guys were interested. Cant imagine Clarko (if he was keen) would be going through a 'process' for example - all the mixed messages are just some half-assed attempt to save face.

Blues should have kept Teague for 2022 and played the long game with Clarko by giving him the time and space he wants/needs.

If Clarko not keen then start a full process in August 2022.
