Where does it say in the Bible that I have to eat fish on Good Friday?

So the Christian idea of fasting is just eating fish instead of meat
No wonder the Muslims are kicking your arses

Ramadan is fasting during daylight hours, so more a form of intermittent fasting, not a pure fast as we think of it.

Many Christians have seen the lead up to Easter as a time to 'fast' something, but to give up PS4 or takeaway coffee for a month is lame and not really the point.

My understanding of "fish on Good Friday" comes from the idea that red meat was (back in the day), for many, only eaten during feasts and celebrations, it was not seen as common everyday food - fish however was not a special food in this way.

So the reason red meat was seen as forbidden by the early Catholics on Good Friday has nothing to do with red meat and blood, but because it was not a day to be feasting and celebrating on.

I believe that traditionally, Catholics had a "no red meat" policy on EVERY Friday of the year to commemorate the Crucifixion, not just once a year on Good Friday.

Ramadan is 30 days though, and that includes going about your daily business
Bit different to " I'll just have fish instead" for 1 day on a public holiday

Indeed.

It's also pretty pissweak when you consider that Jesus actually fasted for 40 days but in his honour, the best many of his followers can do is gorge themselves on prawns and salmon once a year.

Eddie McGuire must be a Christian extremist after all the lobster & garlic butter lunches he’s fattened himself up on.

I'm pretty sure the Bible says that you can't eat fish on page two or something, but I never got that far into it.
Somebody said something about it once, but I wasn't listening. Maybe it's page 202. Not really sure.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. If anything it says the opposite.

Col 2:16 Don't let anyone tell you what you must eat or drink. (CEV)

You can eat it on any page if it’s in a newspaper mate.

It's probably with all that batshit insane stuff in Leviticus.

By the way my argument that I should be able to get stoned on the way to work because Jesus did wasn't taken seriously by HR
Dude you Should try Stand Up ( every now and again )

So what you're saying is that the rules are fast and loose and don't really mean anything?

So why the hell do people waste their time believing this shit?
