Danny Southern went to my primary school, he also lived in the same street as me for a while.

I remember his old man giving a few of us a lift to a school footy carnival in his kombi van, his old man was a bit of a hippy and a strange cat like Danny. Always makes me laugh when people talk about Danny being a tough guy though, he wasn't anything like that back in school, he was a fairly handy footy player but I wouldn't have picked him going on to play AFL.
