Which of these players would you take a punt on in either the draft or pre-season draft/rookie ?

I'd like Grant at the Cats, though think he might be off to GCS... Otherwise we seem to be in on players coming off injuries all the time so maybe Morabito? Get him right he'd be better than Murdoch...
Grant would fill Stevie Js forward void if he gained consistency.

He has had some big games in the past, particularly in 2010 and 2013

Why would we target Ryan Crowley? Fills precisely zero needs in our team. Seems to only be floated about because he's West Australian and Freo don't want him. If he plays again in season 2016, it won't be for a WA based team, I can guarantee that.
Shmook probably linked Crowley to West Coast because you lost Scott Selwood and they play a similar role.

I like Andrew Moore. I'd be all for the Cats having a crack at him with one of their nothing picks in the draft. We promoted Luxford and Moore is much better equipped to help Geelong over the short-medium term than he is.

Crowley is finished. Done. Gone.

Sam Grimley
He's not AFL standard. Sooky, lazy, football-dumb...kicked a solid amount of goals, but not as a genuine Key position forward. He's a flanker in a tall utilities body.

Isn't particularly strong over the ball, isn't a good contested make, and went missing completely in both of the last two VFL grand finals when we needed someone to step up.

He doesn't deserve to be on an AFL list....Simpkin on the other hand does.

Interests:
Moore - pact and the right age bracket for us. We were keen as part of the Ryder deal last year.
Colledge - cos we wanted to trade for him, so must see something in him. Also, adds a sub 24yo midfielder to our list.
Holman - as above. but I've actually seen more of him and think he is actually decent. surprised he was cut.
Gorringe - ruck depth would be handy with Leuenberger and Bellchambers our primary choices
Simpkin - 28yo isn't quite where we are at, but is quality. worth a shot, but we also just landed Bird

Josh Bootsma should be in this list. As good a chance as any of those named.

Talking about players who've been delisted this year.

I'm surprised the AFL article didn't mention Brad Walsh. Last year he was the WA U18 captain, picked up by Carlton in the rookie draft goes over and wins the reserves B&F and gets a few games in the seniors where he didn't look out of place... delisted. What kind of message is that supposed to send? Obviously a lot goes on behind the scenes but seems a real coachable type so I can't imagine he'd be a negative influence.

You want to be a bit more specific than that?

There is not a single talented media person on the AFL payroll. If they were any good a real media organisation would pick them up.

They get paid nothing so its basically an internship. Anyone there more than a year is going nowhere. Schmook has been there years.

As for the list I think Grimely would do well somewhere. Not quite good enough for Hawthorn.

We have said we will take Woodward if noone else nabs him - to reward his effort, even though his body doesnt seem cut out for AFL level football.

Schmook is consistently one of the least knowledgeable AFL contributors despite seemingly being assigned to the WA teams and this just proves it.
Crowley going to West Coast would be like something out of a WWE script.

Gorringe - ruck depth would be handy with Leuenberger and Bellchambers our primary choices

Can't see Essendon being interested. Luey/Bellchambers/Mckernan are all better. You let Giles go, so I reckon you would be after a project ruck for r4, to suite your list profile.

Wouldn't mind the Swans taking a punt on any of the following(as well as re-rooking Marsh);

Adcock, Lauchlan Dagleish, Matt Dea, Golby, Brodie Martin. Basically anyone with some sort of pace/decent disposal especially guys that can play half back. Although would have to be rookie for most of them/all of them realistically. Otherwise other than Adcock not really worth it

Think Stokes/Crowley and most the others are done. Couple like Simpkin deserve a spot on an AFL list though.

In order of preference at the Suns.

Sam Grimley- A key forward with experience that can play a role in the ruck? Not like for like with Dixon but could cover him well.

Harry Marsh- always stood out when I saw him play NEAFL, I was surprised when he got delisted.

Kane Mitchell- his disposal is lacking but he is a fantastic runner and I think he would suit Metricon Stadium well- he adds something that the Suns are missing. I think he was stagnated a lot by being the sub and he could be effective.

I don't think any of the players listed would contribute to Adelaide.

Got a gig this week did Harry.
