Your forward line didn't do too badly last year from memory ;)
Neither did the midfield or backline ;)
But we only really had 2 key forwards, Ablett and Mooney and sometimes Ottens but other than that we went fairly small, there was always a spot open between Byrnes and Varcoe so why not chuck Browny in there :)

With Clement gone, I'd take Scarlett, brings everything to the table as a FB, champion stopper and better than anyone on the rebound.

I'd look at Adam Goodes too, bearing in mind the Pies greatest weaknesses, I think Goodes goes a long way to helping ratify them. Those two (or just one of them) at Collingwood would be nice.

Buddy Franklin. Young, dominant KP player entering his prime. No injury concerns whatsoever and he's shown he can turn it on in big games.

I'd trade Judd straight up for him if it was offered right now. And I'd rather Franklin than Brown.

This guy knows his footy ^^^

If Brown was 20 years old and performing as he did then at 20, people would laugh at the suggestion he is better than Franklin.

People forget ...

Franklin - 20 years old (73 goals, 7 in a final to win it off his own boot)
Brown - Less than above in his best ever season, albeit slightly more goals.

Franklin > Brown

Although there is a very good case to be made for taking Cox or Glass, I'd take one of the younger gun mids: Judd, Kerr, Bartel, Ablett. You can't have too much class in your midfield.
