The AFL.

Are you disputing them?

Where is that on the AFL website? can't find a page where they list those statistics.

Care to share? (I'm assuming you looked at it when you posted the stats)

The only ones upset are Eagle supporter's who can't cope that Richmond have overshadowed their flag

Why is a flag that Richmond wins more important than other sides? I'm perfectly happy to have my side part of one of the best GFs ever. I fail to see what you mean?

Most of that done when West Coast were gifted a state to themselves

Yeah cause we drafted Cousins, Judd and co in the 80s when they were kids and Shuey, Gaff when they werent even born. It was being gifted a side in the 80s that helped Sheed kick that goal too.

Weak wins against weak opposition in weak years.
Knocked off all 3 of the other top 4 sides (including the top 2) in 2017 finals series and knocked off the top 2 sides in the 2019 finals series on the way to a 89 point win.

Gotta laugh at calling it a weak year just because we spanked anyone and everyone we played in the finals both premiership years. So you reckon it was a weak win in a weak year in 2017, then the game miraculously recovered for an even, tough, hard fought comp in 2018 (the year your team happened to win), then the comp went back to being weak as piss in 2019?

Ya joking.

I love the fact that it is a "Bradbury" because Richmond weren't even good enough to make the GF, the same Richmond side we belted by 8 goals that year 🤣

Tigers are bleeding insecurity, I am content with my side being consistently successful.

I don't think it was a Bradbury. Eagles deserved it. Would have been an awesome grand final if we had have made it but we choked. I'd love to see an Eagles V Tigers grand final this year or next.

edit: We probably don't win the flag 2019 without the harsh lessons learnt the year before. So I too am content.

dont ignore my post.. tell me why you couldnt beat a middling hawthorn on your home deck in rd 23 with top 4 on the line ? maybe you could have challenged us but you could not beat hawthorn on your home deck ?
'cause we had a shit game? Fairly obvious I thought.

Came up against 2 of the weakest GF opponents (other than us in '15) in recent memory.

Giants were done the week before. With the injuries they had, everyone knew they were in for a spanking and were just making up the numbers.

yeah they may well have been 'done' but it was still the 3rd biggest grand final winning margin in history. Plenty of experts tipped the Giants and barely any tipped us by more than 3 or 4 goals. Easy to say they were cooked in hind site. I think it's fair to say no one would've got near us that day.

If we had have played worse and only won by a goal the whole narrative would change and we'd be up there in this conversation using your logic. We ****ing pummeled them. Last time I checked that's what good teams do.

Would prefer to play one of the better sides in a GF this year. Pies or GWS for mine.

The Giants had more big names out in the preliminary final against Collingwood the week before and they managed to defeat them at the MCG.

Sheer quality of players/deepest list I'd edge towards WCE.

WB have the deepest MID and will be in the mix for the flag for the foreseeable future.

But the Tiges seem to just gel together as a team very well.

And they brought those big names back in completely underdone.

Poor decision by them, they really should've only picked players who were fully right to go instead of being liabilities.

It’s a tough one isn’t it.
Just a year earlier the Eagles played an underdone McGovern with excellent results. Matchwinning mark that will forever got down in history.

Hindsights an easy one to get right isn’t it. Making the call on matchwinners that are 50/50 at the time of the clubs biggest ever game is much, much harder.

True. I can understand the temptation but really, Phil Davis was probably selfish for putting his hand up to play in the end. I understand why he, and others, wanted to but Cameron really needed to make the call on that one.

I still remember Phil Matera in tears when he didn't get up for the '05 GF.
