Allan is our most exciting talent that looks very likely to shine big in 2025, hopeful the following have impact at senior Level.
Reef (🤞)
TJ
Parker,
Demattia.
Hayes and West exciting prospects.
I really like Parker but you might be right about Allan. I also have an uneducated feeling that DeMattia is going to have a bit of a break out season

Allen, Parker and Jaith most likely for me.

Allen bit disappointing so far but "looks" gifted. This is the year he need to break out. If he is going to be the player were hope for he should book a best 22 spot in the pre season and keep it all year.

Parker showed a lot I thought. Looks a natural footballer and comfortable with the speed

Jaith. Reckon he has a high upside. No guarantee to make it but if he does could be really good.

I expect Allen and Parker to be banging down doors and breaking through to regular senior football this season.

I am also hoping like hell Ryan can have a breakout season, and that Jaith also shows genuine progress, we really need at least one if not two tall backmen putting their hands up.

Of course I hope the others all do well, but this is what I expect in 2025.

Agree entirely with you GC.

I think Parker will be a very good player. With a few games under his belt last season and now a full pre-season, we will get to see why he was touted as a first round pick in his draft year in 2019.
Ed Allan should be playing 90% senior footy this year. What we saw in that game against Melbourne in the final round last year, gave him a solid platform going into this pre-season and he should reap the rewards. We need to see all that potential come to fruition this year and l believe that will happen.
I just have a feeling that Hayes is a player who will surprise this season. Obviously he will start at VFL level, but l think he will make his way into senior footy, and l think will play anywhere from 5 to 8 games at senior level.

So, that's two of us on the Will Hayes bandwagon. I reckon he's going to quickly become our next cult hero. Presents as a dynamic HFF who hunts the football. Clear footy nous. Might yet prove to be Dekkas parting legacy for years to come.

Hey, don't forget me 🤣

I'm on the Hayes bandwagon. And said so on here a few times.

Your namesake Parker won't be far behind

I’m in. Liked what I’ve seen thus far. Looking forward to watching him in the practice matches and VFL games.

I hope people are hyping Ed Allen because of training form.

Round 23 last year, Melbourne were clearly already in the pub. He had a good game with a couple awesome moments but the oppo were already drunk.

Ed Allan and Will Parker for me.

I only got to the see the one live game at the G last year, but Parker really stood out to me, just in terms of his poise and class with ball in hand.

One key stat for Allan that I really like: He doubled his VFL tackle average from 2.2 to 4.4 last year. His other stat improvements don't leap off the page but it's the nature and quality of his involvement that I think took a jump (just as a layman watching him on the livestreams). I feel like if he gets a good run of senior games he could have one big breakout game that cements his confidence at the level, then he'll be away.

Of course, fingers crossed for Reef!

No, most are excited by his physical size for a mid/wingman, potential, his form in the VFL last season, and his time in the system, that he is now ready to produce.
In terms of his game against Melbourne, you can only do what you can no matter who you're playing and he showed enough in that game to get excited about.

Whilst you can discount Melbourne and where they were at I think that game just gives Ed confidence and a bit of belief and should have propelled him into a big preseason knowing he’s capable. I’m hoping he is there opening round.

I really like Parker but there’s a logjam at halfback especially with Josh being there. I’d be tempted to tell him that we know what he’s capable of at halfback but to spend the first month at VFL playing midfield. Let’s see if we have a halfback only or a Crisp replacement longer term that can play both.

Loving what I’ve seen of Hayes and West in training but all you want from those two is development at the lower level and glimpses of AFL level capabilities.

If I’m on one bandwagon only then I’m on the Steene bandwagon. Very excited about what he might be able to do with a good run at it.
