"So, I assume that the guy at the start who is worried about his mum when the bullet's are firing is Lindsay's Belinda's son who she spoke to briefly on the phone?"

Yeah I believe so, as he said he had just had finals and that was mentioned in the conversation. Also it’s Belinda

I really didn't think the cast was anywhere near as good as S1 and 2, we'll see how it pans out.
Don't know about that. Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan and Jason Isaacs are all pretty high caliber actors. Schwarznegger adds a little interest too. Think it will be good.

It was a bit slow, to say the least
I haven't sat down watched it yet, but that seems pretty par for the course? I remember the openers of the first two seasons mostly being based around the guests' arrivals and offering some foreshadowing of what might come, but not a whole lot otherwise.

Yep that’s true.

I’d say the difference in this first episode was that it wasn’t as humorous.

Yeah will be keen to see how it pans out. I think season 2 will be hard to match but I hope it does. The cast was really quite ridiculous with Michael Imperioli, F Murray Abraham and Aubrey Plaza plus the others that I didn't know of but came to enjoy and now know like Theo James, Leo Woodall and Haley Lu Richardson. Fingers crossed.

Enjoyed E2 a bit more even if it was sluggish again, there was a bit more development this time.
Have you watched any of the other seasons? If so then I'm not sure what you were expecting with this one

Binge watched them a few weeks ago. The first 2 series were similar but for them I felt there was more meat in the character development sandwich.

Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins the standouts so far.

Those 3 women together are awful.
I think when the three of them are together they're fine, it's when they pair off that they have problems

I just can't figure out why Aimee Lou Wood and her boyfriend are together haha, what does he have over her?

I half expected it was going to end up that he was the one that robbed the store and that she and him are a bit more of a working relationship, but that doesn't seem the case.

I think when the three of them are together they're fine, it's when they pair off that they have problems

But I think that's because they aren't genuinely friends. When they're together they're incredibly fake and surface level, trying to one-up each other. When they pair off they take the mask off and get the claws out.

I wasn't hugely compelled early, but the last two eps have been much better, some real strong character development and tension building and a great cameo from Sam Rockwell! Although everything he touches turns to gold. Parker Posey's character is particularly unlikeable, which is some feat for a series that has so many.

Oh, and I wasn't expecting to see Lucious Malfoy's wand either.

Anything with Walton Goggins is worth watching.

It was a prosthetic.
