Who do we tag..!!

I was just having a look at the teams for tomorrows game and remembered what a powerful midfield Fremantle have. Given that Haselby and Bell always play well against us, and then you add the likes of M.Carr, J.Carr, and Black to the equation, it leaves us with with the question, who to tag.

I believe we have the forward line to really push the Dockers' defence, the midfiled, as is always the case, becomes a very important facit of the game.

As you cannot tag everyone, i'd try to shut down Bell, Haselby and J.Carr. IMO, these would be the matchups:

Chambers/Bell - Has the leg speed and endurance to go with Bell. May come down to fitness late in the game given that Chambers has had a leg injury. Would have centimetres on Bell and this could prove dangerous should he float forward

Bowyer/J.Carr - Did a good job last week on Burgoyne and should be given another opportunity. Won't need to worry about the explosive pace of Burgoyne, however, Carr is very much an accumulater of possessions. Could be good match for Carlton

Sporn-Wiggins/Haselby - Hardest one of the three to match up on IMO. Maybe the trick here is to rotate these 2 and try and run him off his feet.

Tag the other Carr as well . He usually kills us at Subi.

Hope I'm not intruding, I'm only here for constructive conversation about the match and seeing this thread got me thinking! If you have a problem with me posting to this thread then just let me know!

Anyway, I reckon you guys will probably have to shut down at least two of our main midfielders and going on the shocker that he had last weekend I reckon Hasleby will be primed for a big one so he'd probably be the one to tag.

Shutting down at least one of the Carr brothers will be a requirement as well but I doubt you'll manage to shut down both of them so someone on your side is gonna have to have a big day out to negate their effect.

Freo will know you'll be playing a tagging role on a couple and will count on the rest of our midfielders taking advantage of this and stepping up to fill the gap as you cannot tag them all!

I'll be at the match and I reckon it's gonna be a ripper of a game! Good luck guys!

The following midfielders will all need to be held:
Black - had 33 possessions last week
Haselby - will be looking to perform after last week's shocker
J Carr - one of the best midfielders in the competition
Bell - a very consistent player who could cause a lot of damage
M Carr - won't be as strong due to the virus which kept him out last week
