There look like being some very common midfields going around next year. GAj, Rocky, Selwood, Sloane and Parker, will all be value due to injury affected averages, Libba should be at a discount after missing a year and Fyfe's sure to be one of the first picked in most teams.

Selwood will probably be the first I pick, despite what he did to me in 2015. He was pretty clearly playing with a broken hand early in the season and never really gave it a chance to heal until the bye .... when I dumped him. It's not surprising that he came back to form after Geelong's bye was followed the next week by the cancelled game against Adelaide which allowed his hand 3 weeks to heal.

As for the rookies, it's pretty pointless trying to choose them before we see how they perform in the preseason and, more importantly, who's selected in round one. Having said that, I can see Hibberd being a likely selection. He went surprisingly late in the draft so he'll be quite cheap and he looks the type of player North could give an early chance to. Of course Francis and Parish will be the first selected if WADA have their way.

In all seriousness if he retains his DEF status he needs to be considered strongly, has proven to be capable of scoring well in supercoach from relatively quiet games, a few more disposals per game and he could be averaging in the high 90s.
