Think quite a few on this thread have hit the nail on the head. Do you go for Dal Santo - because Ling is more likely to cut out his effectiveness, or Hayes, who is, IMO, going to be harder to tag and lessen his impact on the game ?
Hayes has more grunt and Dal Santo is the better deliverer of the ball into forward line.
It will be easier, I would think, for Ling to tag someone on a very wet day. Is the importance of a real up and under player like Hayes more important on a rain soaked field - or will Dal Santos possessions hurt more if they start hitting Riewoldt's or Kosi's chest ?
Its is a line ball call. Go conservative and tag Dal Santo - who Ling has done well on, or be a bit different and put him Hayes ?
I was initially going for the Hayes tag - but after reading all the posts - I am undecided. I just hope if one of them get off the leash Thompson will be willing to change the original tag/game plan. Hayes in the last quarter, with Riewoldt, got them over the line against the Doggies.
