Melbourne appears to winning

Perhaps you lot aren't the mental cripples I had you pegged for

BTW does this poll only count listed players or does it consider the fact we are about to get the two standouts of the upcoming draft? cos it should

I think everyone already considers Trengove and Scully a part of your list.

Melbourne's winning because people assume good draft picks = good list.

Yeah, really should be Hawthorn's thread IMO. One the flag off of the back of performances from Cyril, Roughead and Buddy throughout the year, against one of the most dominant teams we've ever witnessed.

Arguably, the inconsistency of that youth brought them undone this year (Along with the injuries).

I voted Adelaide, I am genuinely excited about Tip, Walker, Danger, Otten, McKay, Knights, Petrenko, Mckernan, Moran and even Sellar.

But IMO the side with the best youngsters has to be Hawthorn. They won a flag with the just about the youngest list in the league. So I voted for the Hawks too.

LOL at Sydney having more votes than Port. Boak > Sydney's young talent combined. Gray > Sydney's young talent combined. Hartlett > Sydney's young talent combined. And do St. Kilda even have any youngsters?

Voted for West Coast btw.

Of it's PF side, 13 of Collingwood's 22 were 21 or younger. It would have been 14 if Pendlebury played.

Clearly the best performed youth in the AFL.

Would that be the PF side that scored 1.3 in the second half to go down by 73 points? 11 of the 22 got 10 possessions or less for the day

Fantastic performance by the youth there

West Coast for mine , Majority of Melbournes talent is completly unproven and could very well be complete duds. EG - Richmond basking the glories of their early picks only to be completly shot down.

WCE are all playing regular football, and growing by the game.

Norths youngsters are certainly underrated. We crap all over Adelaide, Essendon, and Collingwood, and we're deeper than Carlton and Hawthorn.

23 and under

Adams
Anthony
Campbell
Goldstein
Greenwood
Hansen
Lower
McMahon
Ross
Swallow
Tarrant
Thomas
Urquart
Warren
Wright
White
Ziebell

11 of these 17 players would be in our best current 22.

half of them are spuds or unknowns quality not quantity

At least three of those blokes would be better than any youngster on the Eagles list.

Funny us making the finals when more than half our 22 was composed from those 2.

If I was forced to, I'd take West Coast's list/youngsters in a heartbeat over Carlton.

I'd also take Hawthorn's youngsters, Fremantle and Melbourne's. All teams that finished outside of the eight.

23 and under

Adams - Badly hampered by injury. Towelled up Gibbs in the SA v VM match. Rover in the same u/18 team in which Kruezer was ruckman and Gibbs was named ruck rover.

Anthony - Gun, averaged 25.6 disposals in his debut season. Would walk in to Collingwoods side.

Campbell - Kicked 32 goals in his debut season as a small forward, hampered by injury in 2009.

Goldstein - Best young palm ruckman in the AFL. Would walk in to Collingwoods side.

Greenwood - Shut down Judd, Dal Santo and Cameron Bruce in his first dozen games.

Hansen - Taking his time, but is clearly a better young KP prospect than anything Collingwood has on the books.

Lower - Battler

McMahon - Excellent lock down medium sized defender. Beautiful user of the ball.

Ross - Needs to lift

Swallow - Won the B & F. Eddie would eat a plate full of shit to have an inside mid with Swallows hardness playing at Collingwood.

Tarrant - Wracked by injury, although he is now 100% fit and the murmurs are turning in to roars. Watch this space. Consider yourself warned.

Thomas - Also kicked 32 goals in his debut season. Hampered by injury in 2009.

Urquart - Promising rebounding halfback that stagnated a little in 2009.

Warren - The most exciting half forward flanker to debut in 2009. Cruelled by injury.

Wright - Showed glimpses, but still needs development. Has plenty of X factor.

White - Completely shut down Yarran in the 2009 VFL grand final to be named amongst the best. Will debut in 2010.

Ziebell - Superstar. Will be better than anything on Collingwoods list within 3 years.

Redo this in a week and a half.

Melbourne will be close to the top.

Right now, Adelaide would be my pick, closely followed by Hawthorn. I think that the best young Hawks (Franklin, Rioli and Roughhead) are better than the best young Crows (yes, including Tippett) but the Crows have a more consistent spread of youngsters.

Melbourne is leading the poll, good to see no one take it seriously.

Or they just have an opinion that differs from yours.

Shocking!

I think that Liam Jurrah would ahve something to say about that ;)

If we're going with 23 and under, Carlton certainly has its fair share of talent.

23 - Mclean
Walker
Jamison
Russell
22 - Betts
Murphy
Warnock
Armfield
21 - Bower
Hampson
Grigg
20 - Gibbs
Kreuzer
Austin
Joseph
Robinson
Garlett
Browne
19 - Yarran
Henderson
;)

According to a source on our board, the club expects Rhys O'keeffe to have a breakout year in 2010 with his hardness and attack on the ball.

Looked a massive unit on the track today.

A comment on another site that ROK has grown might be on the money.

That list of rookies would be more balanced if we added a McMillan-Pittard, Melksham, Jetta or Sheppard next week. We need a quick small-medium onballer if you look at the height of our rucks, mids and flankers.

I still have time for Joe Anderson after his form and late season game as a running defender in the VFL last year. Ando played a bit like Walker in that match with his rebound and pace off half back.

Hmmm, the Dees could end up having the best young talent, but at this stage its still too unproven for many of them. Same question in a year's time (as no doubt will happen on the BF recyclathon) and they could be out in front.

However, making a judgement on what been shown already, I would go with Hawks, Adelaide, Carlton, West Coast and Essendon (they may not have the depth of youngsters but their top several look like being star quality).
