As the title says...

Also, which club? What position you looking to hold down this season?

I'll be playing in the magoos at Caboolture all season, we play Kenmore first up this weekend. Am psyched that footy is back, although my pre-season was shambolic... Too much interest in cricket

I'll most likely play back-up ruck behind my younger, fitter and taller brother, or hopefully somewhere in the forward line.

We've got new coaches for the seniors and the magoos and a heap of Wilston Grange players have followed their coach up, so it should make for an interesting season.

The biggest disappointment is the Robina have gone back from State Association Division 1, to Division 2, thus meaning no bus trips.:(:(:(

Playing for Alex Hills seniors once again. Pre-season started well but then uni commitments kicked in (no training tues or thurs:() so I am a long way from anything resembling peak condition. Only got one preseason match in because of cricket commitments, so will be interesting to see what happens this sat. Not real sure on where I am at and where the team is. We are playing Uni at home. And we got new jerseys this year:)

New jerseys? Much change in design from last years?

Any follow up news on how the bloke with the broken leg is faring after the end of last season?

Pretty sure same design...but we now have another set of a predominantly white jersey for 'clash' games (with strathpine gone caloundra is the only one really:eek:). Don't quote me but I betya we end up wearing them every away game though:rolleyes: can't say im a fan

That bloke is back on his feet, saw him down at the club last week. He still has a limp and would prob still be doing rehab etc I imagine. I didn't ask him about it though, reckon he probably had enough of answering questions (not that he wouldn't happily do it though, never heard him complain once about it)

Fair enough, I'm sure it'll become a point of discussion among most of your opponents as they see it.

Thats good to hear about that bloke, it was a sickening incident.

Younger son grew and inch over summer and is now 6 ft 6, and is a lot fitter than he has been for ages, So I am looking forward to his games this season.
last year was 1st Div and magoos in ruck.

footy back, about time. got right sick of the cricket rubbish this whole season.

Does anyone know if King Brown is still playing up Caloundra way.

One of the worse things about working where I work they really couldn't give a shit about those involved in sports. They couldn't give a damn about team sports, they only want team being AT the casino. because of that policy, i've had to step aside playing for the thirds at UQ. But now I'm proud to be Team Manager/ Runner/ Volunteer

But in Rec Footy, I'm a gun forward/Obnoxious arseh*le :D

Looking forward to being verbally abused by your entire ressies team again this year :D

It's just what we do. :p

Our post-game recovery starts at 2pm, and it generally involves the bar, particularly for those of us who have no real chance of playing in the seniors unless the bird flu rears its head again.

You wimps, at UQ we're at the bar before, during and after the game.... then the pub at night.

Whoooooooow, Drunk last night, drunk the night before.... :D

Senior footy is always better to play, there is nothing like running out when the ressies have finished, it is like : Right the big boys are now here to play. I loved that feeling!

you're right acuguy...the only time i envy them is when its 3 qtr time and you're down by 10 goals:D:eek:

My 8 year old is playing Junior footy for the first time this year. He'll play at half time when West Gambier play at home and also for his school. He is footy mad and doesn't go anywhere without a footy in his hand. He is so excited about being able to play 'real' footy this year!!:D:D:D

Pulling on the boots for Birregurra again, we have our last practice match tomorrow which I am not able to make.

Not sure of where I will be playing as now that I have hit 35 I am looking at more time in the magoos... Have requested Ruck or Forward where I spent most of the last 2 years in the Firsts.

UQ won the seniors by 5 points. Good game, both teams fought hard in hot conditions on a mammoth ground.

In the reserves, Uni were leading by plenty in the last quarter, when numerous spotfires started (both sides had culprits in instigating this), but 2 Uni players and a Caboolture player were sent within 5 minutes with red cards. University replaced their players, at which stage, the Lions captain called a head count and Uni had 18 players on the field, rather than the 16 they were supposed to have, thus wiping their score.

Caboolture ended up winning 6.4.40 to 0.4.4

I hope I don't lose any credibiltiy for this (not that I had any before hand) but I am playing Under 14's for Morningside. We start next week, lost our first few praccy matches......And Morningside seniors smashed Labrador just before, 19.16 to 12.10 I think.....Good old Benny Fixter was pretty good for the tigers.

Playing first division U-16's again. I say I feel at my peak this year, I gained a level on my shuttle test (13.8) and shedded lost 2kg since December (3 in total, but i gained a kilo somehow). I went for TAC Cup u-16's trials but didn't make the side, I was disappointed.

Now all my focus is for my club. I played back-pocket last week, kicked a goal and have about a dozen touches. I kept my opponent goaless and we drew 52-52.

Tommorow we versus a tougher competitor, so hopefully I get some game time in the centre or at home (CHF). :)

Defending Div 3 Premiers Western Magpies VS UQ Red Lions this Friday night at Chelmer.

Come and see the superior management and shandi drinking skills of Chezwick :D Stay for the football :D

Should be a cracker. Although my thirds went down by 35 to a very good Grange outfit, I feel the squad my team has is even stronger than last years. Considering we managed to pip the Magpies by 1 point last time we played, I reckon my boys should go in confident in pulling out a win. We've had a great start to the season, but now we need to bounce back and against the premiers

BUMP!

Where are we all this season? Again at Caboolture, again in the reserves. We are destined to be cellar dwellars, we just don't have the depth of other clubs at both senior and reserve level, but we always have a dip.

Played my first game for the season on the weekend, after a late start due to a cricketing injury (a lovely patella strain). Had a run a full forward, but the ball rarely ventured forward, when it did, showed sharp hands... Sadly too sharp for my teammates.

We venture down to Wynnum this weekend, from what I can ascertain, they've improved alot at both levels.

oh yeah. u18s mayne, playing your mob caboolture this week at the den. hopefully we get up, caboolture got done by 199 a couple of weeks ago, while we are coming off an 8 goal loss to nambour, top of the table. unfortunately i will be water carrying again, thanks to a certain collarbone.
