TJACKA said:Two of the best coaching performances in the last 4 years
Ormond U19's 2002- coach- Adrian Connolly
lost first 4 games of the year and made the grand final, they lost the grand final but got promotion
Ajax Seniors 2006- coach- Tim O'Shaughnessy
Were 2-3 after round 5, won 11 of next 13 in the home and away season, defeated St.Bedes in semi final, lost grand final by a point, but this ajax side becomes only the third side in the clubs 50 year history to play in B grade

bob down said:You cant call anyone who coaches a flag at Xavs a legend, in fact it is an easy way to get one on your cv. Jack Off could coach them to a premiership, if guys like Richo and Bourke were worth a pinch of salt, they would take their wares elsewhere like Tim has and try to bring a club through the Grades.
My vote goes to Mike MacArthur-Allen as the greatest coach of the modern era. Took Ormond to 5 flags in A row in A Section, saved De La Salle from oblivion and took SKOB to 3 A Section finals series, including an A Section Grand Final.
Other notables would be Tony Paatch, from a possible relegation except for OMS cheating the system to winning the A Section flag the next year, and Peter Nicholsen, taking two seperate under achievers to A Section flages in the past 4 years.
