0. 1,478 GOALS - Gary Ablett Snr. (1,030 Goals), Gary Ablett Jnr. (402 Goals), Nathan Ablett (46 Goals) - STILL ACTIVE.
1. 1,432 GOALS - Gary Ablett Snr. (1,030 Goals) & Gary Ablett Jnr. (402 Goals) - STILL ACTIVE
2. 1,361 GOALS - Gordon Coventry (1,299 Goals) & Syd Coventry (62 Goals).
3. 1,360 GOALS - Tony Lockett (1,360 Goals) & Non-Existent VFL/AFL Brother, Father, Son or Cousin. Only daughters right?
4. 1,325 GOALS - Nick Riewoldt (718 Goals) & Jack Riewoldt (607 Goals) - STILL ACTIVE
5. 1,254 GOALS - Jason Dunstall (1,254 Goals) & Non-Existent VFL/AFL Brother, Father, Son or Cousin. Right?
6. 1,206 GOALS - Peter Hudson (727 Goals) & Paul Hudson (479 Goals).
7. 1,163 GOALS - Saverio Rocca (748 Goals) & Anthony Rocca (415 Goals).
8. 1,084 GOALS - Leigh Matthews (915 Goals) & Kelvin Matthews (169 Goals).
9. 1,057 GOALS - Doug Wade (1,057 Goals) & Non-Existent VFL/AFL Brother, Father, Son or Cousin.
The Riewoldts only 107 Goals behind the Ablett Father-Son now, 153 Goals behind the Ablett Family and 175 short of being the first Family duo to hit 1,500 Goals between them.
Can Gary Ablett Jnr. catch the the other 'Son' with 400 Goals Paul Hudson on 479 Goals? Will require at least two more years playing as a permanent forward one would think - which would also take the Abletts just over 1,500 Goals all-up...
Tough, but not impossible, but in all likelihood unlikely as many would agree 2019 is likely to be Ablett's last season......
Nathan Ablett's 46 Goals takes the Ablett trio to 1,478 Goals closer to the 1,500 Goal mark......
70 Goals from Jack Riewoldt in 2018. A repeat performance in 2019 will bring the Riewoldts to the brink of 1,400 Goals. Certainly Jack should power the Riewoldts past Tony Lockett and the Coventry Brothers in 2019..... 37 Goals required to put the Riewoldts into second-place overall.
