Who would you most want @ your club?

If you could draft any player in the AFL to your club who would it be??

For the Blues Travis Cloke would be ideal and the missing piece in our team.

Always pick the best available, which in this case is Buddy Franklin or Gary Ablett.

Matthew Leuenberger.

The club needs a ruckman more than anything else and Cox/Sandilands only have another 3-4 years left at most.

Leuenberger's my favourite of the the younger ruckman and has another 10 years or so left in his career. He'd be ideal.

Frawley, Ben Reid and Joel Selwood would be next in line.

There are many better young/relatively young ruckman Eg: Naitanui, Goldstein, Ryder, Zac Smith, Kreuzer, Mumford off the top of my head.

Goldstein and Mumford are the only compareable ones in terms of output atm IMO, and I like Leuenberger better than both.

Richmond have a ruck division of Browne and Graham and are looking to Ivan Maric to be the big saviour. They need a ruckman more than anything.


Also should've mentioned Pendlebury in the list of others.

I voted Cloke but then on I thought about it a bit.

We need a forward who can basically sit in the f50 and take contested marks (imo) so J Riewoldt would be a good fit.

You'd be happy with either, but taking Cloke first would be like taking Swan ahead of Judd. Judd and Franklin at their absolute best are more damaging and harder to stop. Talent wins.

Hehe exactly. He only kicked 113 goals and had 200 + scoring shots in a season, whilst winning a best & fairest in a premiership year as a 21 year old. Leigh Matthews described it as the greatest season he had seen from anyone in his 50 years of watching football No too mention, he averages 3.9 goals per game in finals. OP can have Cloke

With a fit list and Buddy in the team, the Blues would give it a real shake next year.
