Chasing an extra couple of billion$ they will never need at great cost to soceity and the planet
When Rupert does die, the political leaders are going to call for a state funeral (for a US citizen) and most of the population are going to celebrate. It should be an interesting time.

A bit like the US CEO murder. The pollies and media will wonder why everyone is celebrating.
Absolutely.

The Oz continues to disinform about global warming. Here is an article covering the REASONS for the terrible winter bushfires in California. It's the hot desert wind, it's the lack of rain, it's people, it's arsonists. The one thing you won't find it's due to is climate change and global warming.

I'm convinced the generation of people 60 and over are the most evil generation in history.

No offense, but on average I’m just pretty bloody sick of having to coexist with these people.
They don’t deserve what they have.
Pretty broad brush you're using. Every generation since the dawn of time has had megalomaniacs and greed heads for whom nothing is ever enough.

My Grandad fought in a world war, was gassed in the trenches, came to Australia, cleared land in the Wheatbelt with a horse and plough and made a living for his family. My parents worked hard and bought a house and raised a family.

I'm 62, lived a pretty simple life, got no debts cause I don't spend money on things I don't need. Me and the wife shop at the local grocery, cook our own meals, we work as counselors in the drug & alcohol sector, get paid terrible money but find the work meaningful. I volunteer as a Yoga Teacher at a local Yoga school to help keep it running, see clients that can't afford it pro bono.

We're not all maniacs.

The problem is when Atilla the Hun or Ghengis Khan or other notable maniacs of the past were running around raping & pillaging or the robber barons that built the great fortunes in America were buying up everything in sight or chopping it down the world was still a big enough place for it not to completely wreck the whole world.

My generations psychopaths are the first ones that have operated in peak humanity on the world. And its not like there's any shortage of tech bro billionaires lining up to carry the baton for world domination.

I get it, the world has been screwed over but I guarantee you if you killed every person over 60 in the world right now there would be a queue of psychopaths from the current generation lining up to take all our assets and put them into as few hands as possible.

A small percentage of broken people who can never learn to share their toys ruin it for everyone and always will.

Amid the chaos of the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, some in the media are spreading baseless lies suggesting that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seriously considering cancelling the 97th Oscars ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Hollywood on Sunday, March 2.

The U.K. tabloid newspaper The Sun posted a story to its website on Tuesday evening, which was picked up by the Drudge Report and went viral, that it advertised as “Exclusive” and headlined: “OSCARS THREAT Oscars 2025 on verge of being cancelled as bosses secretly plot major changes to ceremony after LA wildfires.” The piece went on to claim that “A secret ‘contingency strategy’ is in place for the March 3rd Awards to be called off” — getting the date wrong — and elaborated, “The Oscars awards ceremony is on the verge of being cancelled for the first time in its 96-year history… Official Academy Award committees are monitoring the situation daily, led by stars including Tom Hanks, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep and Steven Spielberg.”

The Hollywood Reporter has spoken with senior figures at the Academy, as well as individuals close to some of the aforementioned A-listers, and can categorically report that no such plan is being contemplated and no such advisory committee exists.

I respectfully disagree. The younger generation is on average more educated (and therefore aware of the impact of LNPs lack of policy), and the greatest threat ever posed to mankind - proved by science over and over - is apparently something that can be debated as whether you believe in it or not by the average person of your generation.

That is either ignorant, or decisively evil.
They know gravity, round earth are scientific facts - but for selfish reasons choose to ignore what they’re being informed about.

You completely missed the point.
You said everyone over 60 is like this & none of us deserve what we have.

Which is an absurd generalization.

Plenty of people my age & older have spent large parts of their lives trying to make the world a better place.

There is more nuance in my post you also completely ignored but I get the impression nuance isn’t your thing.
