Doubtful.

$800,000+ a year for a half back flanker that peaked two years ago.

Hang on, you mean the "fact" that Goddard was going to Carlton because he supported them as a kid wasn't correct?

Well this is surprising.

Goddard supporting Carlton as a kid is not surprising

Essendon fans resorting to posting pics of a grand final loss in a finals series they couldn't even make.

Just confirms they think the BJ deal is a stinker.

Surely as a top inside mid, probably the only one in St Kilda his brownlow tally would be indicative of his potential pay packet ?

Saints will get pick 13 as compensation, seems unfair.

Essendon have invested a huge chunk of cash into a player that has been average for sometime now, could be a master stroke or an epic failure, I know which one I will be hoping for. :)

Where did you get this from, the AFL site said it depends on other trades as to the compensation, it's not like the saints haven't already got the best out of him, you cant blame him for wanting a nice retirement package but no reason to overly compensate the saints, they had the option to match Essendon.
