Sure, I've seen him pull out of contests when he should have gone. I'm just suggesting that its not accurate to say you always 'need to go' despite the respect such action usually generates.
Often there are underlying issues. Eg. had he pulled out of a contest in the finals, where he needed to lay a bump on his injured side. At the time, you would think squib, but then later you remember he has torn his pec off the bone and the cost benefit of laying a bump on that side and sitting out the rest of the game is not positive.
At the end of the day, I agree that he does pull out - but its being overstated as a weakness.
