You're about $10K short.

Stawell have lost Eckel, Mantell, Taylor, Motlop, Thorp, Linton, Scalanders so far with many others still tossing up what to do (Driscoll x2, Fowkes, Salmi among others to). Would expect them to slide out of the 5.

Ararat just keep getting better, SMT to be the second side, Nhill third, then who knows. MM, Dimmy, Saints Horsham and Stawell all almost on a level playing field making up numbers and then Warrack just hanging on.
$10 short? So it's actually $50K!!!!

Heard over weekend the Demons have lost the following big Names for next year - Huge Losses.
Brody Pope - Redan
Ryan Kemp - Lucindale
Ben Lakin - Birchip Watchem
Add to this Hugo Papst, Corey Williams and a handful of depth players, 2025 is looking like being a long year for the Demons. However, they have an abundance of young talent that they can get some games into.

Not sure you are correct on Stawell losses SNP.
Expect a lot of those players you suggested will stay.
Some signatures already in.
Plus a couple if extremely good quality additions as well.

Kalkee a farming club is probably fine for now. They are stable off the field. Would be shocked if they approached a team for a merger.

Dimboola and Rupanyup aren’t stable off the field.

Rupanyup also approached a couple of other teams.

When Warrack merge in the future it will either be with Dimboola or Rupanyup. Kalkee potentially if things are different for the Kees in a few years.

No way the Thunder would entertain a merger with them
Would think mergers to look something like Nhill/Kaniva, Dimmy/Pimp, MinMurt/Rupanyup, that leaves Warracknabeal on its own. Could poss be Kalkee/Horsham/Saints/Quantong marry up also.

There’s been a heap of merger options tabled for the last 50 years across both leagues but mergers will happen organically in their own time.

Is it worth clubs doing a thorough health check of where they are at? Senior success isn’t the be all and end all. Before reading on, it’s worth noting that the salary cap is an almighty joke. Thank god, because if it was strictly enforced most clubs would be shot.

Ararat: no real issues. Very different junior structure footy wise compared to everyone else which would be worthwhile changing. Longevity: not going anywhere.

Thunder: I’m not well across this club but from the outside it seems like they are almost resigned to the fact that they will need to keep on merging to ensure their longevity.

Seniors will always be competitive, there’s no shortage of rich farmers up that way and they’ll continue to pay for travellers but there’s no kids. This won’t change ever which means it’s a matter of time until the next merge.

Warriors aren’t going anywhere. Would love to see them be a bit more competitive premierships wise.

Demons and saints are strong in all facets.

Nhill: still building nicely senior footy wise but are a worry with juniors. This will never change. There’s just not enough kids in Nhill. A merger may be the path forward with Nhill as the main base. KLU an option?

MM: are strong across the whole club but need to upgrade facilities

Dimboola: are a worry. Need to pay for outsiders to prop up their Senior side. Their junior numbers simply can’t sustain their Senior grades. They could battle on as is forever but will never thrive without dimboolas population growing.

Merge? Thunder? Pimp?

Warrack: biggest worry in the league.

Reserves teams getting thrashed every weekend is a key indicator of where your club is at. Junior numbers a worry. Warracknabeal population continues to decline, merger has to be on the cards. Who with? Thunder? Kalkee?

Interesting that Warracknabeal has over 2k people, it's not like they are the smallest town in the Wimmera league. I could see why they don't want to merge

Re MM and their facilities ... Minyip just got $2million per their Facebook -

Pretty massive for them.

Maybe the new Warracknabeal Energy HUB with 200 wind turbines will bring new jobs, families and money to town.

On SM-S911B using BigFooty.com mobile app
As contentious as they are, these projects (wind farms, rare earth mining, and whatever else might be out there) do offer some opportunity for sporting teams. I suspect some will fall by the wayside, but it seems almost a done deal that others will proceed.

Warrack are too pigheaded to merge. They think they will be challenging in three years or so.

When Rupanyup and Dimboola called them for merger discussions, they should have entertained the idea at least and not shut it down straight away.
Back in 2001 Brim had a bank balance of $60k and consisted of Warracknabeal players mostly. I know a legend of Beulah back then who said that Beulah should've merged with Brim! Instead they went to Warracknabeal and they win a flag from
Memory under ole mate Gerard Bibby.
You are correct in that Warracknabeal are too pigheaded!!
