Must demand some big coin to make such large travelling and movements between clubs worthwhile???
I thought David Law chucked in the Rats coaching job due a family illness in Melbourne and that he wasn't goping to coach as he wanted to spedt time with family?
Grimmett, perhaps you can fill me in how he has ended up at Penguin? My initial reading of his appointment there and my understanding of why he stepped aside at Ararat have confused me to say the least.
Hopefully you can place some light on the situation?
If he is getting that much Edenhope Apsley won't be around for to long. He isn't worth that amount of money.
He does demand the coin though. Kaniva Leeor offered him 450 over the phone last year and he laughed at us. Was probably on 1000 per game at Donald.
But good luck to the power.
Also heard that Nhill missed out on a handy On baller from Ballarat in Wayne Schultz a former junior at the club many years ago. They hoping to get Al Fritsch to committ but hes not sure what hes going to do yet.
That's disappointing for the Tiges. I know Schultzy personally and he always said he wanted to head back home and coach in some capacity up there. The man is very talented, and has leadership abilities aplenty something Nhill will need next season it seems like. Also heard that Nhill missed out on a handy On baller from Ballarat in Wayne Schultz a former junior at the club many years ago. Ararat will most likely finish 5-6th pending injuries,Losses include Waring,Kelly to Tassie, Dalziel,C.Cooper to Great Western, Searles gone to Warnambool .Somers and Mcloughlin have hung the boots up, however have gained Doug Walton as coach ,Mick Fatins back so they will be competitivejust read about waring, kelly and tucker along with a couple of 2nds boy all leaving ararat on there webb site. Also read on horsham league thread
paul dalziel is going to great western. Those out on top of scott turner, jon jess, david clark and posiibly a couple of kids palying rebels could be tough going for the rats.
Jay tucker speculation is endless why clubs waist there time on him is beyond me!
Just hypothetically: Could a side made up of the best players in the rest of the Wimmera League beat Horsham? Whaddya reckon, lets say a Big W minus H vs Horsham, who would win? Would that team of all stars be good enough to top to the unstoppable all star team that is Horsham? Maybe that's what the League could implement next year to stop the bastards from winning again

If horsham played there Premiership side against the best 22 in the Wimmera they would be comprehensively beaten .Horsham are a great side however they would struggle against most Ballarat, bendigo and surroundings top sides.Just hypothetically: Could a side made up of the best players in the rest of the Wimmera League beat Horsham? Daylesford are in talks with Maxwell, though I believe he will play in the wimmera league. They have also signed up Travis Grigg from Dunstown who previously played there. Jake Saivage from C/Linton is close to signing along with a couple of other C/Linton Boys- Raynor.???
Luther Dean from Sebas is also back there with good mate Adam Hall.
Hepburn are still trying to sign thoses 6 players from Nthn Bullants..Not sure what luck they are having, but they are throwing some decent coin around which Learmonth cant match, as we have spoken to one of them.
Also have signed one of the best players in country Vic in Brendan Shephers.. Is a machine... Played at Castlemaine and last year was playing at Kyabram for a $1000 a game. Played under Robbo at Castlemaine when they won the premiership.
Learmonth signings to date are- Charlie Edmonston (Dukie B&F winner in 2006), Brenton Walker- Lake Wendouree- Kicked 100 goals for Nth Ballarat juniors. Matthew Lockett- Nth City/Daylesford, Dom Morrison (Rover)- Lake Wendouree, Matt Elder (Ruckman)- Lake Wendouree.... There will be more in the next few weeks from Wimmera and BFL clubs.....
From the Central Highlands FL thread.
Maxwell to sign with the horsham saints
Just wondering if anybody can tell me how Josh Cook goes from Dimboola and what postion does he play?
Word is ex horsham coach guy smith is throwing money at younger horsham blokes and mite be successful in poaching some. Dissapointing behaviour from the premiership coach.
