They just had an interview with Geoff Walsh on 3AW. He brushed over a few things including the Carey, Easey and Pagan negotiations but I found his comments on Winnie Abraham fairly positive. He is visiting a specialist in a week or so who will determine when he can recommence running again. Basically it sounded like there was no rift between Winnie and the club which was good news. Winnie and his wife are also expecting another child (hopefully a boy), and that is the main reason he is back in WA according to Walsh. Finally he said that Winnies operation was the same as Clem Michael's and the fact that he is looking toward coming back to AFL ranks was a positive.

Obviously very productive morning Moomba...and as for the afternoon.;) Good news about Winnie. Though disappointing for USC.

I've already told the others at work not to expect too much from me for the next few hours.

I heard an interesting fact (notice how I use the word "fact") regarding Winnie. The club has been trying to contact him recently. The only number they had to contact him on was his mobile, which last time they tried had been disconnected. Interesting that the CEO is casting a positive spin on what I see to be a lost cause.

Time will tell if our CEO is talking fact or fiction.

I would love to see Winnie, Byron and Turtle running around up forward when the opportunity presented itself.......what an excitment machine we would be then. Or perhaps one of the above rotating through the middle? Sadly I can't see Winnie returning, his problem knee hasn't improved from what I hear.

The truth is out there.......

Dead set, I reckon North naming him in the side this year with full knowledge he would be long term injured was probably one of the smartest financial moves to date.

Did North even agree to pay him anything for this year or was that never resolved?
