My first did too.

Currently using the same starter as a year ago.

I’d love to know if anyone is bold enough to pick a starter with a double up letter

I assumed 5 unique letters would be a given but that’s just me

I even avoid double ups for my second and third guesses unless I cannot think of an alternative

Hail Mary guess pays off

Its no secret I used RAISE for a long time and when it hit I was over the moon

I chose it for the 3 main vowels plus the S - and R is a good general end letter ie tower, refer, etc

If none of those letters hit I use COUNT which gives me all the vowels and RST with N and C as secondary letters.

I now have a different starter which has 5 different letters but sticks with the most common letters used

Then take it from there

I am confused as to why people are so secretive over their started word(s).

Now I generally post first so it doesnt concern me and others dont open the thread until they have completed the puzzle

But the temptation when stuck may be too much to chase up starters as a hint

I mean more so people (today, generally speaking) are saying I start with this word or that word or whatever.

I am not sure why people are so hesitant to share this.
