What an utterly ridiculous golf hole…ohhh it’s a Pete Dye design, so what.
Anyone could design a stupid hole, anyone.
Stupid, fake Yank courses have nothing on ours.

TGL - trying my best to give it a chance, but geez the commentary is horrendous. Rickie had a putt on 12 to extend the match. The only way we know this is by watching the scores or being told by Billy Horschel on his mike.
Rickie misses - exactly zero mention that the match was over.

Absolutely- when I can find it. Might watch more now with the Fox deal.
TGL is just a tv game show. In terms of actual tournament golf “watchability” LIV is behind PGAT, DP, Oz tour then Korn Ferry.

Yes, is a danger there is no doubt about it, backed him in 2018, his second victory there, held on to beat Alex Noren and Ryan Palmer in a three way play-off at -10 under, apart from the odd score its usually around -12 under par that will get it done at Torrey Pines, you have to attack the North course, most winners, not all, have at least set themselves up with a nice round on the North course before facing the brute course {the South course} for three rounds, one last thing, if you can win here, you can win anywhere!JDay is the man for Torrey Pines. Two time winner with plenty of other Top 10s. In form after last week.
Lock him in.
Edit: being a Torrey Pines specialist is the medical equivalent of Proctology.

Not sure why but I really like the team aspect of LIV, I like that on the last day you might be out of the individual race but you can still help your team.
Many don’t like it, nit sure if it’s just because it’s different or something else.
Agree the TGL, have had a good look and it’s entertaining but how long the novelty lasts is anyone’s guess.
I like watching the DP world tour, then LIV golf and then the PGA tour.
Majors of course are a priority.

Backed Jason last year and shot 74 & 71 to miss the cut, these days can be a little streaky, but if he's within four shots at the half way stage you know he's not going away.

yeah man im with you.
TGL just isn't my cup of tea.
Dont see anything interesting about dudes getting paid millions to hit a ball into a simulator. Maybe with time it will get more polished but geez, not into it at all - at best i can watch it for maybe 30mins - an hour.
I am diehard fan of the PGA product, and I'm not super into LIV, but I'd take LIV over TGL any day of the week. At least LIV is still golf
Yeah, it’s a real novelty to see someone have an impact on the final round of a team competition after putting in two poor rounds.
I prefer to see those guys catch an early plane as a consequence of their poor play.
I should have put the LPGA second - in terms of how much I watch of it.

Unfortunately that is not where Golf is heading, The PGA tour are heading towards or are doing it now the small field, no cut events. So rewarding the Poor play is now quite normal.
Don’t think we should be comparing TGL with “real” golf. TGL is just an entertainment product of no consequence.
Hoping they improve the product as it develops cos right now I ain’t very entertained.

unless i am wrong in order to get into those signature/elevated events, you need to play well to maintain a good ranking.
So it's rewarding good play to a degree, just not in the actual specific tournament.
I was only commenting that it happens in PGA tour events also, then trying to change the conversation to qualification for the event happened?
And you don’t need to play that well to maintain your top 70 spot, Tyrell Hayton is ranked 8 in the world and has not played the PGA tour for a year. Once you’re a high ranked player the spot is yours until you basically implode.
I'm just saying that you do get rewarded for playing well. I don't think you at all get rewarded for playing poorly, considering you need to play well to get there in the first place.
Tyrell Hatton has finished Top 6 in the last 4 European Tour events he has played in.... All of these events had PGA level purses, and high ranking weightings which he;
Oct 24 - Finished 1st in the Aldred Dunhill Links $5m
Nov 24 - Finished 2nd in the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship $9m
Nov 24 - Finished 6th in the DP world Tour $10m
Jan 25 - Finished 1st in the Dubai Desert Classic $9m
I haven't looked but i'd bet he has a solid amount of top 10's on the Euro tour last season.
I think you absolutely need to play well to maintain top 70 rankings - id even say out to 100. Tyrell grinds out the Euro tour in-between LIV, that's why he is still very highly ranked. The world rankings for golf are ultra-competitive, they kind of always have been.
The world rankings don’t even rank the best players, they are a joke and have been for 3 years. They have one job only.
I mean yeah, I agree with you that it's a bit dumb because it's all out of whack because of LIV. Dunno how they fix that.
Still think though the system is as good as it can be right now, I definitely don't see anyone who is being rewarded for playing badly. Except maybe if someone's getting into a tournament via a sponsor invite rather than off their own performace.
