The poor dears are finding it a little windy so they’ve paused the round.

What a joke.

Was disappointing. Luke Clanton was looking very good in the conditions.

Hard to tell whether the decision was for crowd safety, losing the greens or to protect the poor dears’ scorecards.

Clanton certainly wasn’t happy to be stopped.

What bullshit - the talk was of “rewarding poor play” and no cuts. You were asked which signature events don’t have cuts. You didn’t answer.

Oh and it’s the FedEx points in the previous season only that determine eligibility(save for the Swing 5s etc), not OWGR.

Hatton was at about 15 when he went to LIV, blew out to 38 then brought himself back to 8 by way of two big wins and a second.

5 of the 8 signature events don't have a cut.

[emoji6] of the [emoji[emoji6]] signature events don't have a cut.

Exactly- and all of them have qualifying criteria.

LIV doesn’t. It’s an invitational. And even if players do get relegated, they can come back if the “business case” works. Enjoy it.

Will do. Lost interest in the birdie fests on the yankee tour.

All power to Harris English. A good win and he is a player.

But Lordy, the start to the pga season has been dire. Forget about the players lost to LIV, we just haven’t yet seen the big PGAT names.

Here’s hoping things warm up over the coming weeks.

Pebble, TPC Scottsdale and Riviera are usually a good run.

Alas, no Riviera.

Rick Shiels has sold his soul.

Why has he sold his soul?

Guy is getting paid big time to live his dream.

Kudos to him for doing what he loves and paid massively for it.

I’ll never understand the hate for LIV, it’s no way near the product PGA is imo but it has its place and it’s audience.

PGA kinda does the same with sponsor exemptions but I agree, you need to earn your place to take part in these signature events, so I agree with you 100%.

The idea you aren’t rewarded for effort is pretty crazy. You absolutely are rewarded as if you don’t play well, you don’t make it to the events!

I watched TGL last Wednesday night (a replay) while having dinner. I’m a fan. It’s a lot quicker obviously as there’s no walking to your ball.

I just can’t get onboard with the TGL, just isn’t golf to me. I’m sure there is a market for it obviously but I just can’t watch blokes hitting into a sim for more than 30 mins, just doesn’t do anything for me.

Plenty of big names kicked us off in Hawaii, we are just in a little funk due to the TGL, the boys will be back as we creep towards the masters.

AT&T and genesis are coming up. Big names will be there

The “funk” is partly due to the creation of two tours within the PGAT caused by the Signature events calendar.

The pace of play over the last two weeks has been inexcusable.

And I read somewhere JT actually defending pace of play. This is the problem with world golf, the players wield far too much power, particularly the US frat boys.
No global tour cos they don’t like to travel, instead come up with gimmick golf to “grow the game”. And 5+ hour rounds is ok? They don’t realise they’re killing it.
Signature events? Sure, but look what they’ve done to the rest of the calendar. No one cares. Creates a hole that LIV have tried to fill but this last 2 weeks of PGA should be down here, Asia then head to South Africa…where people will go nuts for it.

all they literally need to do is introduce a shot clock type system.

and then actually penalise players who are slow.

Simply don’t allow caddies to be involved in reading the greens.

The time spent over putts is astronomical.

I dont mind caddies being involved but just limit the time they have to do it.

it's a simple fix, the PGA are just absolute pussies about it.

There’s so many ways they could speed up play. The most obvious one - which wont happen because the manufacturers won’t allow it - is to roll back the ball and equipment.

Reachable par fours/fives cause massive backups.
