Jordan Spieth's first 9(started on 10)
2 eagles
2 birdies
2 pars
2 bogeys
1 double

That is text book "Spiething".

He played pretty well, got some help from the officials on one hole. But he loooks to be swinging it well.
Watched the big 3 for a couple hours and all 3 of them played well. Rory scored better but both Xander and Scottie looked in ominous nick.

We must have been watching golf differently. He is a favourite of mine but he hit it like shit. The thing that saved him was a ridiculous short game. Two chip ins.

Seems to me he has trouble putting four good rounds together. Always seems to have that one bad round
Spot on chickenonachain, will win on the PGA tour either this year or next, too much talent not to but there have been many talented players over the years that did not win on the tour because of either the pressure of closing out a tournament or nerves, he in a sense reminds me of Jason Day, though Jason played really well on the Web.com Tour before getting on the main tour.

I backed Jason a lot in those early days and his biggest problem was he used to fire at almost every pin, as top players do, he learned to be more smart about his selection process and eventually won the Byron Nelson Classic, just a side note, one player who resonates with what you said above to a tee is Thomas Detry, he won early this year and he always either had that one bad round or one big number on a par 5 that completely derailed his tournament, his time will come, you also have to forgive a lot of the players , the conditions were brutal on such a hard course more so when the wind blows.

Two players who haven't set the tournament on fire but have lurked just behind the leaders in Cantlay and Straka are with Rory the ones to watch but if the leaders do struggle then this tournament could be won by someone setting a score and getting in the clubhouse and seeing carnage that follows, when the wind blows, the most punishing last two holes on tour, the island green & the bending 18th, drive right and your in the forest, drive left and your in the water.

You've gotta ask yourself one simple question.....

MWL has oodles of talent but a self-admitted poor work ethic. Day was the opposite. He is a likeable character but Dr Chipinski needs to buckle down. At 26 he isn’t a baby.

Yes, you can forgive poor play on a tough day, but he got shown how to fight back on a tough day by 23yo Akshay.

All the events that are in similar time zones to Australia are on 7plus streaming only but the looks of it.
The events in the USA, Mexico etc will be on the main channel 7 channels I believe.
