Getting the feeling that the deal between the Pif/LIV and the PGA tour is not going ahead.
Been a groundswell of comments in the last 10 days from everywhere bagging the hell out of LIV, its players and the format and its future. Scotty Scheffler had his say that he thinks it's all LIV players fault for the divide, Jordan Spieth and Rory have come out recently and said there doesn't need to be a deal now. And in the last 5 days Golfs biggest media idiot Brandel Chamblee has been unleashing on LIV with quotes after quote on X almost to a point that he has been given a licence to now says what he likes.

So do you think this deal will still go ahead? Or do you now think it won't and the PGA tour are now thinking they have curbed the uprising and they are in a strong place moving forward.

From what we know the biggest obstacle between the two parties is the global tour part, the PGA tour players do not wish to travel.

So if thats the case and a deal does not get done does the PIF keef investing in LIV golf and we have two major tours, one an American tour and the other a global tour.
Or does the PIF close the bank, turn around and walk away and move their money elsewhere?

Your last line is shortening as favourite. PGA looking like it might wait out the player contracts and let the big names come back.

LIV Fox viewing numbers in the States still not getting any more views than AFL games coming through in the middle of the night.

But I thought dear leader was fixing it all

The LIV numbers in the states just havent grown, although being on at 3am in the morning is not really a sample. Be more interested next week when they have the first event at Miami and FS1 covers it.

Do the players want to go back to the PGA tour though? I guess that is what the pIF leader will be asking

For anyone interested in attending once in their lives I just had a look at Masters badge prices for the upcoming tournament.

If you want to go Sat and Sun for the upcoming tournament you're looking at approx AUD5000 per day.

Scary stuff. By comparison when I went in 2012 I brought a ticket the night before the Sat round for ~AUD1000.

But the food is cheap

The vast majority of LIV players are never going to return to the PGAT. The only ones that really matter are Bryson Brooks and Rahm. Others, like Hatton and Niemann, can play, but in the grand scheme, they aren’t consequential.

Even Smith is pretty much irrelevant- but for his annual decent showing at the Masters. He might be the biggest loss in terms of a player giving away his best years, but good luck to him on the cash.

Every week that goes by sees LIV becoming less relevant. As soon as the PGAT lets one of the big names return, LIV will crumble. Its best bet is to try to get in bed with the Euro Tour and try to replace the Fall schedule.

The $5bn Yasir has dusted on LIV is nothing compared to his ill-fated try with Neom. In terms of dollars squandered, he might just go down as the worst investor in history.

Very impressive to do that in the final group with Scheffler. Was miles past him off the tee all day.

Massive day for his career tomorrow

Has to be careful to not worry what Scotty does tomorrow, because if he does that someone will bob up and blaze them both, in saying that, I think he'll just keep playing his own game, its got him to where he is on the leader board.
