Out of the current crop it's miers for me. The bloke is incredibly slow for his size and probably has shortest kick in the history of the game. 35m is a stretch for this bloke.

I remember a game against Sydney a couple of years a go. He marked the ball about 45m out and any score would have sealed it. He kick goes about 33m, swans mark, stream up the ground and nearly win it on the siren of it wasn't for a great blicavs spoilt.

He nearly cost his team 4 points because he's a league footballer who can't out kick most guys handballs

Oh actually I’ve got a good one - Claye Beams

For a player that was supposedly valued for his kicking, all I ever saw from him were kicks over our guys’ heads and turnovers. Relatively poor athleticism too with a slow top speed and the turning circle of a cruise liner. Undoubtedly the worst player I had to endure during those years of bottom feeding

Several years ago now when his brother was at his absolute peak we had our SC Draft League draft day.

One of my mates had a few too many leading up to our draft, and with pick four he selected old mate Claye. The look on his face when he realised was priceless, went from smug to despair in an instant.

With the talk about terrible ruckmen, it would be remiss not to mention Cain Ackland. Not many get their own highlights package of ineptitude:

Just a side note with this video - there is an awesome Bryce Gibbs squib at 0.48. OK - it was a bit of a hospital handpass from Ackland, but gee whiz - at least try and pretend you're not petrified.

Alex Neal-Bullen. Along with Aaron Keating was somehow in the right place at the right time to be a premiership player.

Gryan Miers.

This is the actual answer.
The decision to parachute him into the AFL was a joke and a slap in the face to kids who grew up playing Australian Rules. A no-neck, overweight nobody who didn’t know the rules of our game.

Why did folk warm to Karmichael more than Folau?
He at least gave the impression that he gave a crap and seemed pretty well-liked at the club. Had a couple of memorable on-field moments which helps too. I reckon he could have been an okay role player if his body held up and he stuck around.

Folau never seemed interested and seemed like he'd never be close to competent.

F*ck me all these Miers haters need a good slice of humble pie now. Bloody hell, 'worst player in the game' cited by multiple people on here - and now in AA convos, likely Top 3 B+F, Premiership player and a completely evolved player too.

Never change BF.

Israel Folau is definitely the answer. Joke of a selection, and lasted all of 5 minutes.

It's taken over a year for me to see this, but well worth it haha absolute pisser! 😅

Ryan Houlihan was a solid player, definitely not in the conversation for worst AFL player.

His Wikipedia entry makes for funny reading though. Ryan Houlihan - Wikipedia

Loved the Hoops. Remember him and Fev tearing Essendong apart on a wet friday night. I have chainsaw celebration in my head for some reason

Also cant forget Fev , Hoops and Lappins drunken weekend , going into a drycleaners and saying " hey lady give me a jacket"
