Taylor Hunt was awful, Ryan Sheonmakers was a one trick pony.
Out of the younger players, I would be very surprised if Ben Silvagni , Oscar Brownless or Liam Stocker played more than 30 games betwee them. The first two are just not up to it and Stocker has zero endurance- not a good trait for a midfielder!
whats the bet you've never seen ben or stocker play more then 2 games?

I vaguely remember Nick Bruton, he was tall but had no business being on an AFL list, nor playing two games in 1993.
Good luck to the guy, he has a story to tell the grandkids.

Cam Polson

After 3 years as a small pressure forward he has grand total averages of 7.7 disposals, 0.25 goals, 2
9 tackles a game. He averages less than 5 effective disposals a game!

I would have sacked Bolton at the conclusion of 2018 on the basis of him getting 10 straight games and 12 total for the year.

I know he was a bottom aged drafted but I have seen zilch from him. His one attribute is that he's quick. He's light, small, poor skills, poor tackling technique, doesn't get around the ball enough, doesn't impact games enough. But he's quick! So ****ing what.

At least for Geelong, and because the horror is fresh in my mind, Josh Cowan is pretty hard to surpass.

Ticked just about every box you could wish for. Chronically injured (missed 4 years straight at one point), no stand out VFL form, no breakout game, no outstanding skills, not a long kick, not a strong mark, absolutely zero physical strength, and yet above all this - somehow got 8 years on a senior list for a whopping 16 games. A curious phenomenon emerged too - the longer he was on the list for zero reward, that somehow made him more valuable. Absolutely mindboggling.

Towards the end his performances were actually defended with the argument that he was guarding one side of the ground. Yes really.

Didn't even have the "he was a high draft pick once upon a time" thing to fall back on. His longevity on Geelong’s list was bizarre.

Seen a few nominations of guys who barely played a game. I think it's more interesting to look at the guys who played plenty of games but were actually no good. Based on that, I nominate Jesse White.

The guy was 6'-5" and very athletic. He had all the traits that should have turned him into a very good player.

He played 127 games over 10 years for Sydney and Collingwood, missed some through injury and some through form. Throughout this time, he was just never a threat in games. He'd fumble marks, miss simple goals, and you could put your worst defender on him and not really worry that he was gonna do any damage. He was like a much worse version of Josh Jenkins - big, athletic, and just no good at futbal.

Cain Ackland played the worst game of football I've ever seen...and as a Carlton supporter I've seen some pretty bad performances

Interested to learn one anyone can 'see' someone in their worst game of footy, assuming Cain rarely got near the ball means you weren't actually watching the game...?

I think the importance placed on White was pretty strange, and he was made to feel pretty bad for being a pretty average AFL footballer.

I mean, he was picked very late in the National Draft, was a high-level junior basketballer for most of his teens, really only had a year or so of footy experience in a non-footy state before being drafted. Had size and some great athletic tools, just didn't turn out especially great. Why was the expectation so high? All things being considered, he did fairly well for a late-draft project. Was one of the better players in the SANFL this year too, in a Premiership side, working hard playing in the ruck.
