It's hard to say; a lot of these players have been good in their respective seasons, but if I have to pick one, I'm going to go for Cooney, because, whilst he was pretty good back then, he was by far not the best player of '08

Cooney 2008, Judd 2010, or Priddis 2014.

I will go with Judd 2010. Ablett or Swan were that far ahead of him that season that it was ridiculous. Swan should probably have won it and if anything, Judd would have been more deserving the following year.

So many kids with short memories. Cooney was absolutely brilliant in 2008. You can argue other players deserved it more but he was still superb in a top four team.

Priddis last year for mine. West Coast's midfield is generally recognised as terrible. Most teams with a brownlow-calibre midfielder should be above that. Is it because too much is left to Priddis or because Priddis generally gets lots of the ball but has little impact?

Cooney's 2008 was awesome!! He's never been the same consistently since and ablett probably looked to have had a better season but there were games cooney turned and almost won off his own boot for dogs that year and dogs won alot of games so I could see why he got votes. I agree he's probably had one of the worst overall career but not his brownlow year.

pretty hard to say who had the worst as all brownlow years are good but went priddis as that shocked me more than any brownlow I've seen even though he averaged most disposals I just didn't think he was classy enough for a brownlow but props to him on a consistent season.

When you look at it from a stats prespective, Priddis was really good, probably wasn't the best player in the leage, but he still performed really well. Cooney on the other hand, just didn't deserve it IMO

That's a really odd assertion. Cooney was great in 2008 and deserved his medal. Did Richardson deserve it more? maybe. Did Ablett or Frankiln? you could argue that definitely. But it's not like Cooney was some bog average player.

Priddis' 2014 was not in the same class.

Akermanis, bless him, has been quoted as saying he stole the 2001 Brownlow from Andrew McLeod. I pick Aker only because he said that and I'm an AFC fan who would have like to see Bunji win one:rolleyes:. Aker was still a fantastic and mercurial player none the less.

Whether or not there was a player more deserving that year is irrelevant. The question is which season in isolation was the worst. Quite clearly, Akermanis' was not the worst.

Point taken.:thumbsu: 2014 for mine.

2014. Priddis had a good year, but would you call him the best player of 2014?
